Okay, so I just heard this and it’s insane! Eiichiro Oda, the guy who created One Piece, actually physically hid the biggest secret of the entire series at the bottom of the ocean! He’s said it won’t be revealed until after the story is finished, so it’s staying down there for a long time. Seriously, how dedicated is this man?!
I nearly fell out of my chair when I saw the new video on the official One Piece YouTube channel! Eiichiro Oda, the creator of One Piece, actually wrote down the answer to the question we’ve all been wondering about for almost thirty years: What is the One Piece?! It’s incredible!
The page has been carefully hidden: it’s been torn out, folded, placed in a tiny treasure chest, sealed in a strong glass sphere, and sunk to the ocean floor. Now, at a depth of 651 meters in a secret location, it’s completely inaccessible – even for the most skilled pirates.
The answer lies at the bottom of the ocean
One Piece started in 1997 and tells the story of Monkey D. Luffy’s journey across the Grand Line. He’s searching for the One Piece, a legendary treasure left by the pirate Gol D. Roger, and finding it is the main goal of the series.
For nearly three decades, the author Oda has remained tight-lipped about what the treasure actually is. He’s stated it’s a tangible, physical prize – not something abstract like friendship – but beyond that, no specific details have ever been shared.
Even with tons of fan guesses, leaks, and rumors, the truth remains unknown. This mystery is a huge part of what makes it so popular, keeping millions of fans hooked and eager to find out what happens next.
There’s still no confirmed end date for the story. While the creator, Oda, has said the manga is in its final arc, he hasn’t given a specific year for when it will finish. The anime, produced by Toei Animation, is also continuing, and there’s no news about when the last episode will air.
The true nature of the One Piece will stay a mystery until the story concludes, as its creator has hidden it deep underwater – 651 meters below the surface.
