On January 6, 2025, the premiere of Season 2 of “My Happy Marriage” is set to air on Netflix worldwide. Simultaneously, it will be streamed for global audiences at the exact same time it’s aired in Japan during its original broadcast.
Initially penned and illustrated by Akumi Agitogi and Tsukiho Tsukioka respectively, the series was later published by Fijimi Shobo in Japan during the year 2019.
In this tale, titled “My Happy Marriage,” the narrative unfolds within an imaginary Taisho period where supernatural powers and magic exist as part of daily life. The storyline centers around Miyo Saimori, a young woman who appears to be devoid of magical abilities, yet she faces mistreatment from her own family.
When Kiyoka Kudou, a formidable and icy soldier, marries her, their union initially is fraught with tension. However, as time passes and they get to know each other better, their bond gradually warms up and evolves.
2023 saw the anime version of the show premiere from July through September, with Netflix being its broadcast platform. The debut episode was exceptionally well-received, becoming one of the top-viewed anime series on Netflix that year, accumulating approximately 13.2 million views between July and December.
As reported by Epic Anime News, the second season of My Happy Marriage is expected to consist of 13 episodes, including an extra one as a bonus.
