Where To Get Acid Early

While accomplishing quests in various early locations, don’t forget to complete exploration objectives for that specific area. These goals include locating weapons and armor chests, as well as mystical chests. By focusing on these tasks, you’ll find yourself exploring every nook and cranny, gathering as many crafting materials as possible.
As a savvy gamer, I always make it a point to explore every nook and cranny of the game world. I never miss an opportunity to rummage through trash bins, dumpsters, desks, or any other object that catches my eye and can be interacted with. Using Spacetime as my trusted guide, I meticulously scan my surroundings to ensure I’ve not overlooked any potential loot. After all, who knows what valuable items could be hidden in the most unexpected places?
In the early stages of the game, you have a reliable chance of obtaining acid from frequent foes. The Gnawer, a spindly humanoid monster with a purple hue that pursues you, often drops acid when defeated. Additionally, Light enemies, resembling lightbulb bugs, and Charred Maniacs, zombies donning raider helmets, may also yield acid upon elimination. Other enemies may drop acid as well, so remember to keep killing and ransacking the creatures you encounter regularly.
Make A Disassembly Bench

However, with the help of a Disassembly Bench, you can transform these seemingly useless items into valuable crafting components. Therefore, securing a Disassembly Bench early in the game should be one of your top priorities.

And the best part is, you won’t have to wait long before unlocking Disassembly in the tech tree!
To begin dismantling old items, go to the Memetics tab first. Then, activate the Disassembly Techniques and Smelting Essentials in the Infrastructure technology branch. Don’t forget to obtain the Wooden Support node as well, which allows you to construct a base and foundation within your territory.
After unlocking the necessary nodes, collect copper ore and logs to fabricate a Furnace. By smelting copper in the Furnace, you’ll produce Copper Ingots. Utilize these ingots for constructing a Disassembly Bench. Regularly discard unwanted items on this bench after each exploration excursion to prevent excessive weight. For efficient organization, build crates to store your crafting materials. Once placed within your territory, Human will retrieve these materials during crafting, thereby reducing the need for extensive inventory management.
How To Farm Acid
In due course, you’ll be able to skip the process of slaying foes to obtain acid and instead directly refine it from the environment. However, this won’t happen right away. You’ll first need to progress through the technology branches and elevate your character’s level to endure in more challenging areas.
In areas with elevated levels of stardust contamination, you can remove acid from the water. You’ll know if this is necessary when you receive a warning about rising stardust pollution and notice the air growing darker and filled with more suspended particles. These locations are hazardous as prolonged exposure to stardust reduces your total health, so exercise caution before entering them.

To produce acid passively, follow this simple step-by-step process:
How To Make A (Mostly) Passive Acid Farm
Relocate your land to be close to a contaminated water body. There are several options in the desert regions around Blackfell, such as those areas, and near Greywater Camp in the swamps. Once you’ve settled by the water source, you can then establish the machinery required for acid farming.
Initially, establish and energize a Water Pump at the contaminated water site and link it to a power source. Subsequently, manufacture and attach a Reverse Osmosis Filter system to the Water Pump. This setup will automatically initiate the filtration process, transforming impure water into acid through reverse osmosis.
An impure acid source takes you part of the way; however, to create acid suitable for gunpowder or fuel production, you must purify it further. To accomplish this, use a Brewing Barrel. Connect the Brewing Barrel to a Reverse Osmosis Purifier and ensure that the impure acid is located in the middle section of the Barrel’s list.
To generate acid, you require clean water as well. You can obtain it by constructing a water pump in a water source and linking it to a Compact Water Filter. Both the Water Pump and Compact Water Filter will necessitate power. Once activated, the Compact Water Filter will produce clean water that you can subsequently add to the Brewing Barrel to create acid.
While you don’t need to physically touch the acid during the process in a Reverse Ormosis Purifier, as you would with traditional methods, you will still need to transfer ingredients between filters. However, you can add impure acid and pure water to the system and then attend to other tasks while the purification occurs.
