Oliver Laxe’s ‘Sirât’ Debuts Trailer Ahead of World Premiere in Cannes Competition (EXCLUSIVE)

The first-look trailer for “Sirât” by Oliver Laxe was unveiled, prior to its global launch at the competitive segment of the Cannes Film Festival. The Match Factory is managing international distribution rights.

The movie chronicles the story of a father and his son who travel to a rave nestled in the southern Moroccan mountains, where they seek their missing daughter, Mar, who disappeared several months ago at such gatherings. Swathed in electronic music and an unbridled feeling of freedom, they repeatedly distribute her photograph. As hope dwindles, they persist and follow a crowd of ravers to a final party in the desert. As they progress deeper into the scorching wilderness, their journey compels them to confront their personal boundaries.

This production features Sergi López, Bruno Nuñez, Stefania Gadda, Joshua Liam Henderson, Tonin Janvier, Jade Oukid, and Richard Bellamy as the main actors. Santiago Fillol and Laxe are responsible for the scriptwriting, while Mauro Herce takes care of the cinematography.
