Approximately three years have passed since Amazon adapted Jack Carr’s acclaimed novel Terminal List for streaming on Amazon Prime. The series was renewed for a second season in early 2023 with Chris Pratt continuing as the main character, but there has been little news about it since then. However, this changed when Pratt began sharing updates from the set. I must admit, his new hairstyle and makeup look quite elaborate.
Season 2 finally got off the ground about 5 weeks ago. Amazon itself confirmed the kickoff, but more recently the show’s lead actor has taken to social media to give fans some hints of what is to come. That is, namely, a long-haired Pratt and a bunch of fake blood. OK, not horror movie levels of fake blood, but the makeup results are still impressive. Take a look.

Fans were pretty amused by the funnyman’s post and they had a lot of comments of their own that ranged from enthusiastic to joke-y, but because I’m a comedic girl at heart, let’s take a look at the funny ones first:
- That’s not Chris’s Pratt that’s Big Lebowski
- Nice to see that 1973 Kris Kristofferson is still getting work.
- Castaway 2: Wilson’s Revenge.
- Is that Alan Parrish? #jumanji #terminallist
Despite The Dude’s joke-worthy persona, there’s genuine enthusiasm among many fans for the forthcoming book adaptation. To some enthusiasts, even the distinctive beard is merely an extra perk.
- The facial hair looks LEGIT
- Fuck yeah bro! You look awesome! 👏
- Bro still looks majestic with all the scruffy beard and hair
In the second season of “The Terminal List,” the plot is adapted from the book “True Believer” by Jack Carr, which was hinted at before the series renewal. This novel, published in 2019, chronicles the journey of character James Reece, portrayed by Chris Pratt, who sets sail around the world to Mozambique after seeking vengeance for his family’s and team members’ deaths (perhaps explaining his unruly hair). The U.S. government then steps in, leading to a fresh narrative line.
Here’s a more conversational way of expressing your text:
“I’m not going to spoil too much, but the book has an impressive 4.3 rating on Goodreads, which speaks volumes about its quality. Additionally, I appreciate that the show is honoring the original novel by titling this season ‘True Believer’, as confirmed in Amazon’s announcement post. And just a side note, Chris Pratt looks great in this promotional picture – his hair and makeup are on point!

It seems unlikely that “The Terminal List” will air new episodes on the 2025 TV schedule, but there’s strong indication that it will debut sometime next year. We can anticipate a ruggedly handsome Pratt in the upcoming season.
