As we eagerly wait for the decision on a Season 27 renewal of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” it’s been disclosed that Juliana Martinez and Octavio Pisano likely won’t rejoin the cast if the series is indeed renewed.
Martinez became part of the team as Detective Kate Silva more recently during this current season, while Pisano joined the scene as Detective Joe Velasco back in Season 23.
Just last month, I found myself thrilled to learn that I’ve been appointed as the new showrunner for our beloved procedural series – a historic first for a woman in its long-standing chronicles!
The TV series ‘Law & Order: SVU’ was developed by Dick Wolf and is primarily led by Mariska Hargitay, who plays Captain Olivia Benson of the NYPD’s Special Victims Unit. This show has the longest run in the ‘Law & Order’ franchise, and features Ice T, Peter Scanavino, and Kevin Kane among its cast.
The show, initially launched in [specific year], was a spin-off of “Law & Order.” This series further gave birth to “Law & Order: Organized Crime,” now streaming on Peacock. Additionally, it spawned “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago Med,” and “Chicago P.D.,” all broadcast on NBC, as well as “FBI,” “FBI: Most Wanted,” and “FBI: International.” However, the latter three shows, currently airing on CBS, will not be renewed for additional seasons.
The executive producers for “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” are led by Wolf, with contributions also from Graziano, Julie Martin, Hargitay, Norberto Barba, Kenneth Brown, and Peter Jankowski.
The show is created jointly by Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television, which is part of the Universal Studio Group.
