The updated version of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion titled “Oblivion Remastered” has arrived, but rather than just enhancing graphics, it seems more like a comprehensive remake that Bethesda and Virtuos have worked on. They’ve preserved many of the quirky elements from the original game that fans adore, one of which is the amusing double-take voice line that remains in the game.

In videos posted on YouTube and Twitter, you can watch Tandilwee infamously stumble over her words. She says: “I’ve been told that thieves managed to infiltrate the Arcane University, the Imperial Legion stronghold, and the Temple all in one night! Let me try that again. I was informed that thieves gained access to the Arcane University, the Imperial Legion compound, and the Temple on the same evening!

It appears that one of the voice actor’s unedited takes was accidentally included in its entirety, and to preserve the quirky charm of the 2006 game, they decided not to fix it for the remaster. While most lines have been updated, the original, amusing ones have remained untouched, allowing us to appreciate them even now.

An exciting scene that remains in the game involves being robbed by a bandit on the bridge leading to Kvatch, a crucial location for initiating the main quest. Interestingly, you have the chance to steal back your stolen gold from this supposedly dangerous character. Despite their initial threats of violence, they ultimately decide the money isn’t worth causing trouble. Oh, the irony – here we have a bandit who values gold over human life!

Besides the many aspects that remain consistent, there are also over-the-top zoom-ins during conversations with non-player characters (NPCs) that continue to be present.
