Oblivion Remastered Dev Congratulates Expedition 33 Studio On Game Pass Launch

Bethesda Game Studios expressed their congratulations to Kepler Interactive and Sandfall Interactive on the release of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 through a unique tribute artwork depicting enthusiastic fans from The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion enjoying the launch of Expedition 33.

As a passionate gamer, I was taken aback when Oblivion Remastered dropped unexpectedly on April 22. Just days later, Expedition 33 was set to arrive on April 24. With both games being day-one launches on Game Pass, I couldn’t help but ponder if the hype around Oblivion Remastered might overshadow the anticipated arrival of Expedition 33.

It’s uncertain at this point whether the simultaneous release of two games on Game Pass might influence one another in any way. The creators of Expedition 33 have expressed optimism about Oblivion Remastered and believe that both games can thrive side by side (indeed they can).

Both Oblivion Remastered (developed by Virtuos) and Expedition 33 (created by Sandfall Interactive) share a commonality: they were both produced by studios based in France.

Adventure 33 is a role-playing game (RPG) where well-known actors such as Andy Serkis from The Lord of the Rings, Charlie Cox known for Daredevil, and Ben Starr famous for Final Fantasy are part of the characters. It was announced in January that an Expedition 33 live-action film will be produced.

According to TopMob’s Expedition 33 review by Richard Wakeling, while there are a few minor setbacks concerning its limited exploration and some user experience aspects, these flaws don’t diminish the game’s potential to become a timeless role-playing game classic.
