Oblivion Remaster Hits 100,000 Concurrent Players On Steam Just Hours After Launch

Today, Bethesda unveiled The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, and rather than making players wait weeks or months to enjoy it, they released the game immediately upon the announcement.

On personal computers, the launch is achieving impressive sales figures immediately. Within a few hours of its release at approximately 8 AM Pacific Time / 11 AM Eastern Time on April 22, it had amassed over 115,000 simultaneous players. Moreover, it currently ranks as Steam’s top-selling game.

On Xbox Series X|S and PS5 as well, you can find Oblivion Remastered. This means that while Steam success is a part of the game’s overall fanbase, it only represents a slice of it. Steam provides real-time player statistics, but Microsoft and Sony do not, so we lack comparable data regarding console players.

2006’s RPG Oblivion has been revamped as Oblivion Remastered, a new edition developed by Virtuos in collaboration with Bethesda. This version is constructed using Epic’s Unreal Engine 5, offering not only enhanced visuals but also an upgraded leveling system and various user-friendly improvements.
