Yesterday, the multiplayer action game Nubs! Arena debuted, offering a free download for the initial 24 hours. However, regrettably, console gamers missed out on this giveaway since the game was exclusively launched for PC platforms. As for PS5, Xbox, and Switch versions, there’s no information available yet.
Nubs Arena – Console (PS5, Switch and Xbox) release explained
If you’re a console gamer looking forward to playing Nubs! Arena, I regret to inform you that currently, the game is only available for PC. Nevertheless, there’s a glimmer of hope as the developers have hinted at potential ports to other platforms in the future. According to their statement on the Steam Forum, they are considering expanding to other platforms.
At launch Nubs! is available on Steam, with consoles possibly coming later down the line.
If the game gains sufficient popularity, it might expand to other systems. But, the question remains which specific platforms it could appear on. More than likely, it will be launched for the current generation consoles – PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and possibly a future version of Nintendo Switch. It’s also plausible that the original Nintendo Switch gets an update as well since they continue to support this platform.
While it seems less likely that my favorite game, Nubs! Arena, will grace the screens of PS4 and Xbox One, let me assure you, all is not lost. Even though these systems have been around for a while and haven’t had many new releases lately, there’s still a chance we might see more games coming out for them. After all, hope springs eternal!
