‘Now You See Me 4’ in the Works as Third Movie Gets Official Title: ‘Now You See Me: Now You Don’t’

As a cinephile, I’ve just returned from watching “Now You See Me: Now You Don’t,” the latest magical caper by The Four Horsemen. This captivating heist adventure marks their third outing on the silver screen, and if you thought they were done pulling off daring stunts, think again! A fourth film is already in the works, with Ruben Fleischer back at the helm to continue this exhilarating ride.

Adam Fogelson, head of Lionsgate’s Motion Picture Group, expressed his satisfaction with the director’s cut and announced that they are currently working on the next installment during a meeting at CinemaCon, an annual gathering for cinema theater owners.

Ruben has provided all the twists, turns, and deceptive moves that fans are accustomed to in this series, and he’s raised the ante and scale significantly,” Fogelson stated. “We can hardly wait for the audience to uncover what he’s accomplished with the third movie and we’re delighted that he’ll continue creating more magic with us.”

Ruben has given fans all the unexpected twists, intricate turns, and skillful misdirection they have come to expect from this series, but he’s taken it to a whole new level by upping the stakes and the scale. We’re eager for audiences to see what he’s done with the third film and excited that he’ll be creating even more enchantment with us.

Prior to Fleischer commencing work on “Now You See Me 4”, its theatrical release is scheduled for November 14. The original cast members, Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Isla Fisher, and Morgan Freeman, will return in their roles from the initial two movies. Meanwhile, Ariana Greenblatt and Rosamund Pike are set to make their entrance onto the scene.

Details about the plot for the upcoming film, which serves as a follow-up to both “Now You See Me” from 2013 and its sequel “Now You See Me 2” from 2016, have yet to be disclosed. However, the trilogy centers around a group of master thieves who specialize in illusions – collectively known as the Four Horsemen (consisting of Eisenberg, Harrelson, Franco, and Fisher). In the original film, an FBI agent (Ruffalo) and Interpol detective (Mélanie Laurent) are on their trail, trying to catch these magicians who perform bank heists and robberies during their shows and distribute the stolen funds among their audience. The second installment continues with the Four Horsemen, now fugitives, joining forces with the FBI to unmask a corrupt tech mogul.

As a passionate cinephile, I’ve been thrilled to witness the remarkable box office performance of the first two movies in this series. These mid-budget productions are a rarity nowadays among traditional studios, but these films have proven their worth. The original movie earned an impressive $350 million, while its sequel managed to pull in a stunning $334 million at the box office.

As a devoted cinephile, I’m thrilled to share that I, Bobby Cohen, will be returning to the helm and producing the upcoming sequel in collaboration with Alex Kurtzman of Secret Hideout. Meredith Wieck will ensure the project progresses smoothly for Lionsgate.

Directing the movie ‘Now You See Me: Now You Don’t’ was just as enjoyable as any film I’ve worked on throughout my career,” Fleischer expressed. “What makes it special is that it blends two of my favorite genres – heist films and magic, and working with such an exceptional cast was nothing short of enchanting. Needless to say, I’d love to continue this exciting journey.
