In Monster Hunter Wilds, the arrival of fresh monsters to hunt brings about the discovery of novel materials for crafting potent equipment. While some categories of these creatures might seem acquainted to certain players, an entirely new class of monsters awaits both novice and veteran hunters.
As players advance through the primary narrative of Monster Hunter Wilds, they’ll encounter a fresh species category known as Constructs. Though their overall appearance may seem familiar at times, there are striking differences when compared to their common counterparts. One such difference lies in the materials they yield upon successful hunt. These materials resemble monster parts such as carapaces and hides, but unique to even certain Constructs is a special item called Nourishing Extract.
How to Get Nourishing Extract in Monster Hunter Wilds
The Nourishing Extract is a valuable resource that becomes available after successfully defeating specific Construct creatures, all of which inhabit the Ruins of Wyveria. This extract plays a vital role in the consistent production of Ancient Potions, Elixirs, and Demondrugs. The creatures capable of dropping it are as follows:
1. The Ruin Construct
2. The Wyvernium Golem
3. The Wyverian Ore Miner
4. The Stone Golem of Wyveria
- Guardian Seikret (Low and High-rank): 20% drop rate
- Guardian Doshaguma (Low and High-rank): 20% drop rate
- Guardian Ebony Odogaron (Low and High-rank): 8% drop rate in low-rank and 16% drop rate in high-rank
- Guardian Arkveld (Low-Rank): 30% drop rate
- Zoh Shia (Low-Rank): 30% drop rate

After successfully finishing a hunt for any of these monsters, you’ll find that Nourishing Extract is among the rewards. Important to note: You won’t be able to acquire this item by breaking off parts, inflicting wounds, or carving up these monsters in any way.
Once you uncover the Wyverian Ruins, these particular monsters will be up for hunting. This group includes the elusive Guardian Seikrets, diminutive creatures that are only found in optional quests. When you take on a quest to hunt this specific monster, it will require you to track down multiple of them.
Regardless of this anomaly, there’s a possibility that Nourishing Extract might not be included in the rewards for completing the quest, similar to how it is for any other monster mentioned earlier.
Monsters such as Guardian Arkveld and Zoh Shia are considered common monsters, meaning they don’t offer optional quests or investigations. Instead, they can only be encountered during the main story missions which can be replayed. Notably, these creatures have the highest chance of dropping Nourishing Extract. However, some of the other items they drop may become less valuable as players progress to higher ranks.
The nutritive essence can also be procured from a trader identified as Sekka, who has his shop close to the base camp in Suja, Peaks of Accord. Yet, keep in mind that merchants rotate their stocklists on a daily basis, so securing this item consistently through Sekka may not always be reliable.
