The woman who caused a stir on an American Airlines flight by insisting that another passenger wasn’t genuine, seems to think the airline didn’t receive the message, as they have since barred her from flying with them.
In July 2023, Tiffany Gomas caused a stir on social media following an emotional outburst where she asserted that one of the fellow travelers on her flight appeared to be fake.
She exclaimed angrily, “I’m leaving immediately, and whether you choose to accept it or not, the person sitting at the back of this plane isn’t genuine.” She gestured towards the rear of the aircraft as she spoke.
I was ushered out of the plane and given a permanent flight ban by American Airlines, which means I can’t fly with them ever again. However, I have my doubts if they are fully aware of this suspension yet.
The way the whole plane looked back lmao

Tiffany Gomas pokes fun at American Airlines for tracking her miles after infamous ban
In approximately two years from March 13, 2025, which was shortly after her outburst became widely known, Gomas shared a picture of an email she’d gotten from American Airlines warning her that her travel reward points were close to expiring.
As stated in the email, she accumulated an impressive 25,385 miles, set to expire in July 2025. However, the airline suggested that she could prevent this by applying for an AAdvantage credit card. Yet, there’s a significant problem with this solution:
After getting the email, Gomas jokingly criticized American Airlines by saying on X, “I guess someone should break it to them.
Ummm, who’s gonna tell them?

The comment section erupted in laughter as people found the situation amusing. One individual even took the time to praise Gomas for finding humor amidst being permanently banned, following such a widely-shared incident.
“Haha, thanks… what else can ya do?” she replied.
Gomas asserts that she didn’t realize she still possessed any miles remaining, explaining that when she received her ban from AA, they informed her that all her miles were forfeited too.
Frankly, I wasn’t aware of it myself – I was informed that I forfeited all my miles upon being suspended. Thus, hearing about this development came as a surprise to me. 😉😉😉

Additionally, she verified that her ban only applies to flights with American Airlines; she remains able to use other TSA-regulated travel services.
As a devoted admirer, I couldn’t help but join the chorus suggesting that Gomas should consider channeling the miles towards the Make-A-Wish Foundation. This philanthropic organization resonated strongly with her during her university days, as it was the chosen charity of her sorority.
That was our charity for my sorority too, love this!

Despite the harrowing experience that went viral in 2023, which she described as the “most terrifying” and “embarrassing” moments of her life during a recent podcast, Gomas continues to find the silver lining. In the podcast, she shared insights about what truly happened during the infamous flight.
