No Man’s Sky Relics Update Lets You Build Skeletons From Ancient Bones However You Wish

With their critically acclaimed space exploration game No Man’s Sky, Hello Games encountered a challenging question: How do you build upon the significant two-part Worlds update that introduced fresh worlds, visual enhancements, and additional content? The solution, it appears, involves integrating interplanetary paleontology into the game through Relics, a new feature launching today.

In the new Relics update for No Man’s Sky, you’ll encounter fossilized bones on various planets, creating scenes resembling ancient burial grounds complete with skulls, ribs, and other remnants. As you journey through these worlds, gather the bones you find to create custom skeletons or unique species, as there are virtually endless combinations according to the official NMS website. Alternatively, you can trade these fossils with Fossil Traders for a wider variety of options.

Archaeological Dig Sites, Stone Guardian Statues, Fossil Expeditions, Designer Skeletons, Bartering for Goods, Basilisk Staff, Bone Creatures, Sharing Fossil Exhibits, Bone Broth Recipes, Stone Armor Suit, Skeletal Companions, Ghostly Stone Figurines, Valuable Relics, Gigantic Boneworms. Now available for free!

At the given burial sites, the bones aren’t left exposed; instead, a fresh threat called the Reanimated Guardian has emerged to safeguard these bones from wandering explorers known as Travellers. These formidable adversaries are not only large in size but also equipped with a versatile array of attacks – both laser and melee – specifically designed to hinder any player’s archaeological endeavors.

In addition to the No Man’s Sky Relics update, you’ll find a brand-new skeletal companion, enhancements to exploring when in Abandoned mode, and advancements to the navigation system. These upgrades enable players to mark locations on the map for future exploration, and an improved navigation menu will offer a search function, allowing players to zero in on specific attributes when selecting their next flight destination.

You can play No Man’s Sky right now across several platforms including Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and personal computers. Additionally, the latest update known as “The Relics” has been released and is ready for you to download.
