No Audio in AC Shadows? Quick fix to sound problems

Modern PC gamers find themselves in a challenging position as many of the latest releases (such as Stalker 2) are plagued with technical difficulties. Even games that originate from other platforms often encounter issues – Rise of the Ronin serves as a prime example. Regrettably, Assassin’s Creed: Shadows is no exception, suffering from DX12 errors and missing DLSS features, as we discussed in our previous guides. However, these aren’t the only problems. In fact, many players on both PC and consoles have reported an audio bug. Let’s delve into this issue and explore potential solutions.

No Audio in AC Shadows? Quick fix to sound problems

Currently, there’s a distinctive issue in the game AC Shadows that’s not exclusive to PC platforms. Over time, the game progressively mutes most of its audio, leaving only occasional voices and sound effects. Consequently, this significantly impairs the gaming experience, making the game almost unenjoyable to play.

Unfortunately, at this moment, there isn’t a non-disruptive fix for this issue. In case AC Shadows on Xbox Series X/S experiences audio loss, the only action you can take is to restart the game completely (Quick Resume won’t work). If the problem persists, you might need to repeat this process multiple times during a single gaming session. It’s not an ideal solution, but if you wish to continue playing, this is your only option for now.

If the issue you’re experiencing is beyond your capabilities, know that a solution from Ubisoft is on its way. Exactly when it’ll arrive isn’t clear right now, but it’s likely to come quite soon. In the meantime, please exercise patience.
