Nintendo Switch 2’s C Button Is All About Video And Voice Chat

During today’s Nintendo Direct, they poured out a wealth of information and updates regarding the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. Amongst this torrent of news, they revealed the function of the enigmatic C button on the new console.

On the Nintendo Switch 2, pressing the C button opens up a social feature called GameChat. This platform enables up to four friends to communicate via voice chat while they simultaneously play games together. An added benefit is that screen sharing is possible, regardless if everyone is playing different games. If a Nintendo Switch 2 Camera is connected, each participant can be seen in the corner of the shared screen for a more interactive experience.

Initial depictions of the Switch 2’s Joy-Con controllers hinted at an empty button beneath the Home button, sparking numerous speculations and assumptions. However, subsequent designs for the Switch 2 clearly revealed the presence of the C button.
