Nintendo is now the Seattle Mariners’ first-ever official jersey sleeve partner, as announced in their partnership deal today. The Mariners unveiled two distinct designs for their jersey sleeves: the home jersey displays the traditional Nintendo logo, while the away jersey showcases the emblem of the eagerly awaited Nintendo Switch 2 Console. On Opening Day, March 27th, you’ll see the team sporting this logo on the field.

2022 AL Rookie of the Year and two-time All-Star, Julio Rodriguez from Mariners’ Center Field, has been chosen as the brand ambassador for Nintendo’s upcoming major product. Given his exceptional performance since joining the league, he is an ideal choice for this role. Additionally, Rodriguez boasts two Silver Slugger Awards in his young career, making him a top pick to help market Nintendo’s next big release.

In 1992, when Hiroshi Yamauchi was the president of Nintendo, he bought the Mariners in an effort to prevent the team from moving. Even after Yamauchi’s passing, the team retained a share for three years. To this day, the organization maintains a strong bond with Nintendo.
