Nintendo Direct Coming This Week – Report

It’s rumored that a Nintendo Direct broadcast will take place some time this week, prior to the anticipated Nintendo Direct for the Switch 2 which is slated for April 2nd.

As per source NateTheHate2, the upcoming Nintendo Direct event might take place within the next few days, possibly on Thursday. However, it’s unclear whether this presentation will follow the conventional format of a Nintendo Direct or something similar to an Indie World Showcase. Meanwhile, another leaker from China, who accurately predicted the entire June 2024 Nintendo Direct, hinted at a special event dedicated to the original Nintendo Switch in just three days.

It might be that Nintendo plans to highlight the remaining games for this year on the Switch, before unveiling the Switch 2. Not all people are immediate buyers of the Switch 2, and experts anticipate that it won’t match the sales success of its original version. By having two separate events, Nintendo can devote their entire focus to their upcoming system during their April 2nd showcase.

Regarding potential reveals in the upcoming Nintendo Direct, it’s plausible that we might catch a glimpse of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. There’s a chance for more details about Pokemon Legends: Z-A to be unveiled, but given that a Pokemon Presents event occurred last month, it may not focus solely on that.

Nintendo has previously launched two games – Donkey Kong Country Returns HD and Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition. Some speculate that the latter, potentially intended for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, may include a secret mode optimized for a smooth 60 frames per second gameplay experience.
