During an interview on CBS Mornings, Bowser mentioned that Nintendo has a consistent manufacturing supply for the Switch 2, ensuring its continued distribution to retailers.
According to Bowser, we are confident that we can fulfill this requirement not just during the summer months, but also throughout the holiday season as well.

“Fluid and complex situation”
During the interview, Bowser spoke about the continuing tariff issue and its influence on the Switch 2. He made it clear that most Swich 2 consoles destined for the U.S. are produced domestically, while Nintendo also manufactures Switch 2 consoles in China and Cambodia for distribution elsewhere around the globe.
As a dedicated fan, I’m sharing that Bowser openly acknowledged the dynamic and intricate nature of the tariff situation. Although Nintendo hasn’t increased the price of the Switch 2 console itself, they have adjusted prices on certain accessories because of tariffs. Moving forward, Bowser shared that Nintendo is actively exploring different strategies to maintain the base model Switch 2 at its current $450 price point and the Mario Kart 2 bundle at $500.
Donald Trump, the U.S. President, initially proposed a 46% tax on goods from Vietnam, however, this decision has been put on hold and is not anticipated to be enforced until July, specifically up to July 9th.
