Reality TV star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, known from Jersey Shore, recently revealed on TikTok that she’s been diagnosed with stage 1 cervical cancer, specifically adenocarcinoma. She expressed relief that it was caught early, saying, “Thank freaking God!” while acknowledging it wasn’t the news she’d hoped for.
Polizzi shared that she’d been getting unusual Pap smear results for several years, and she believes her persistence in seeking answers helped doctors catch the cancer early enough for successful treatment. At 38 years old, she’d been dealing with these abnormal results for three or four years. “I finally took action, even though I was scared and hesitant,” she explained. “And it turned out I had cancer, but thankfully it’s stage 1 and curable.” Polizzi strongly encourages anyone with a vagina to stay on top of their regular check-ups. “If you wait until stage 2, you’ll likely need chemotherapy, and no one wants that! It’s frightening, so please schedule your appointments.” Polizzi plans to discuss a full hysterectomy with her oncologist after a PET scan.
Earlier this year, Polizzi openly shared her health concerns on TikTok, revealing she needed a colposcopy and biopsy. She explained she delayed her appointments because she feared bad news and didn’t want to face the potential pain and stress. Now, after receiving her results, she’s grateful for the support she’s found online and from other cervical cancer survivors. She values being able to connect with others and share experiences, and is optimistic about her treatment, saying she’s ready to face this challenge and move forward.
