As a seasoned film enthusiast who has spent countless hours immersed in the silver screen world, I can confidently say that Nicole Kidman is undoubtedly one of the most prolific and dedicated artists in Hollywood at the moment. Her impressive work ethic and versatility across various genres and platforms are truly awe-inspiring.
Is Nicole Kidman the hardest working person in Hollywood at the moment?
Over the past year, Nicole Kidman has taken on roles in “A Family Affair” and “Babygirl,” as well as appearing in “Expats” and “The Perfect Couple” on television. She’s set to reappear in Taylor Sheridan’s “Lioness” when it begins its second season, which premieres on Paramount+ on October 27th.
Simultaneously, she’ll appear in Season 2 of Hulu’s series “Nine Perfect Strangers,” the animated film “Spellbound,” and the thriller “Holland, Michigan.” She also stars as the main character in Amazon’s upcoming series adaptation of Patricia Cornwell’s mystery books, “Scarpetta,” alongside Jamie Lee Curtis and Ariana DeBose. Additionally, she’s working towards renewing “Big Little Lies” for a third season and creating a follow-up to “Practical Magic.
Nonetheless, Kidman admits that she does manage to get some shut-eye. “I had nine hours of sleep last night,” she shared with EbMaster during the premiere of “Lioness” Season 2 in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.
Admittedly, I grapple with the idea of taking a break from work. However, there’s this peculiar sense of responsibility that kicks in when I consider all the possibilities for helping those who are emerging and using my skills for talented individuals like Helena Reijn, the ‘Babygirl’ writer and director. It’s challenging for me to step back and focus on myself because I’m so committed to caring for others. Yet, I find myself pondering, ‘How can I generate more opportunities? How can I create jobs for people?’ The truth is, I love it, I have the passion. I just need to ensure I take care of my body, if only I had superpowers to be in multiple places at once!
She mentions, “This has been my dream since I was a child. Since I’m passionate about what I do, I plan to pour all my effort into it. Instead of going out, I prefer returning home to spend time with my family. We engage in shared activities together. I don’t go to nightclubs.
In their first collaboration, “Scarpetta” brings Nicole Kidman and Timothy Dalton together for the first time. Kidman praises her fellow actor by saying, “There’s no denying that she’s found her groove and truly embracing where she is at this stage in her life – she absolutely deserves it.
Earlier, Kidman’s “Lioness” co-stars gushed about working with her.
I was truly touched by Nicole’s kindness during filming, when she took time out of her schedule to create a video message for a friend’s ill mother. This act of compassion wasn’t requested by me, but it speaks volumes about her genuine nature. These thoughtful gestures may be overlooked by many, yet they make her truly extraordinary. She’s unique in the best possible way.
Zoe Saldaña, who plays Joe in the series, reminisces about her initial day on set with Kidman. “I told myself to stay calm, not act starstruck, remember my lines, but then I forgot all that and instead we were sharing stories about our kids and seeking recommendations for restaurants.
