The long-running disagreement between Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff and DrDisrespect has flared up again. NICKMERCS responded to DrDisrespect’s claim that he relies on another streamer, TheBurntPeanut, to stay popular by calling DrDisrespect an ‘actor’.
In June 2024, accusations arose that DrDisrespect had an inappropriate conversation with a minor on Twitch back in 2017, which resulted in his ban from the platform. DrDisrespect acknowledged making a mistake during that time, but stated he did not send any inappropriate messages to a minor.
Several streamers who often appeared with Doc stopped working with him, notably NICKMERCS. The popular gamer said he was appalled by the situation and wouldn’t be collaborating with Doc anymore.
This sparked a heated argument between the two ex-friends. DrDisrespect accused Nick of being a traitor and insincere, and Nick retorted by calling him strange.
DrDisrespect takes swipe at NICKMERCS
The conflict calmed down briefly, but resurfaced during The Doc’s stream on March 6th, when he claimed Nick was using TheBurntPeanut to maintain his popularity as a streamer.
During his stream introduction, DrDisrespect distinguished himself from Nickmercs, criticizing the latter for seemingly relying on featuring BurntPeanut in every thumbnail to maintain popularity. He stated emphatically, ‘We are not him,’ making it clear he doesn’t engage in such tactics.
This isn’t a display of poor athleticism; you’re witnessing true excellence.

NICKMERCS goes off on DrDisrespect
Nick reacted to this by calling the streamer a performer and criticizing him for getting emotional.
I have a family and a wife to support, so I’m not going to put up with any nonsense. If you have an issue with that, then you have a problem with me, but I’m confident in my stance and I’m sticking to it. That’s where I stand, and that won’t change.
I’m incredibly frustrated with that person. Tell them to stop with the nonsense. They’re putting on a fake persona – all that posturing with their appearance is ridiculous. It’s just an act.
He’s an actor, and actors perform—that’s their job. He gets into character every day and does what he does. He’s been doing this for a long time, and that’s great. But now he’s upset that I talked about something on a podcast three years ago? I was asked a question, so I gave an answer. I’d do the same thing again. What’s the big deal here?
Nickmercs recently publicly criticized DrDisrespect, saying, “I have children and a family to support. Forget that guy – he’s not who he pretends to be. He just puts on a show with his wig and glasses.” He used strong language and made a very pointed remark about DrDisrespect’s persona.

As we’ve seen, these two have been quick to argue with each other, but it’s unclear if that will continue soon.
