NFTs, MBAs, CMOs and a Dash of Brat: VeeCon Event in Los Angeles Brings Together the World of ‘Serial Entrepreneur’ Gary Vaynerchuk

As a long-time follower of the dynamic world of digital entrepreneurship and a connoisseur of all things business, technology, and pop culture, I find myself captivated by the upcoming VeeCon event. Having witnessed Gary Vaynerchuk‘s meteoric rise from a young e-commerce pioneer to a multi-faceted mogul, it’s truly remarkable to see his vision come to life in such an immersive and inclusive gathering.

As a passionate cinephile, I’m excited to share that I’ll be attending an extraordinary event – VeeCon! From August 9th to 11th in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, this gathering will unite a diverse group of individuals: CEOs and marketing chiefs, owners of NFTs and business gurus, enthusiasts of trading cards and pins, and a vibrant mix of social media personalities, podcasters, and influencers.

“Vaynerchuk expressed his desire to make our conference the most trendy one,” he said to EbMaster. The gathering will showcase Vaynerchuk’s diverse businesses, particularly focusing on his emerging kids brand, Vee Friends. Moreover, it aims to challenge the declining trend in Web3, NFTs, and innovative digital technologies by expanding the Vee Friends characters and narrative universe through digital and video content.

According to Vaynerchuk, the world tends to undervalue the immense influence and focus that lies within social media platforms. Many individuals lament this state of affairs.

VaynerMedia collaborates with Moonbug Entertainment, the company behind CocoMelon, to create an animated series called Vee Friends. This half-hour show is scheduled to premiere on YouTube Kids in the fall. Meanwhile, the VeeCon event will host various brand activations from Gary Vaynerchuk’s other ventures, such as marketing and branding for major companies like PepsiCo, GE, Johnson & Johnson, Chase, AbInBev, and others. Additionally, Vaynerchuk is involved in the collectibles and trading card market, which will be showcased at the event through the “Gary’s Garage Sale” marketplace area during the weekend.

VeeCon speakers include Howie Mandel, Jay Shetty, Ashley Graham, Nick Cannon, Poppy Harlow, Will.i.am, Flavor Flav, Danica Patrick, Arianna Huffington, Liquid Death CEO Mike Cesssario and others. Panel session descriptions range from “Trust in Client and Community Relationships” to “The $150+ Billion Industry on Everyone’s Mind: The Creator Economy” to “Is It Time for Another Look at Blockchain?” Vaynerchuk will give open and closing remarks, focusing on business trends and themes that he sees on the horizon.

As a long-time collector of unique pieces in the digital art world, I find myself intrigued by Gary Vaynerchuk’s latest venture into the realm of NFTs and animated series. Having seen his success in selling NFTs through social media and YouTube, I can understand why he chose to focus on the YouTube Kids platform for his upcoming series. With my background in digital art collecting, I have witnessed firsthand the power of online communities in driving sales and building a dedicated fan base.

“According to him, Vee Friends is likened to a blend of ‘Pokemon’ and ‘Sesame Street.’ Essentially, the educational influence mirrors that of ‘Sesame Street,’ while the collecting aspect resembles ‘Pokemon.'”

In 2022, the first Vee Con event took place in Minneapolis. The following year, it moved to Indianapolis. Gary Vaynerchuk and his partners have primarily stayed out of the spotlight, but they’ve been promoting the event through their fan, business, and pop culture networks. This time around, he anticipates that attendance will range from 2,000 to a possible 8,000 people.

In addition to numerous positions he holds, Vaynerchuk is an accomplished author who secured a 10-book contract with HarperCollins for business and self-help books based on a speech he delivered at the Web 2.0 conference in New York City back in 2008. His debut book, “Crush It!”, was released in 2009.

About ten years ago, Gary Vaynerchuk, a digital entrepreneur at the time, recognized the e-commerce opportunities in online networks. Originally from Belarus, his family immigrated to the United States in 1978. In 1996, he revolutionized his family’s liquor store business in Edison, New Jersey by launching one of the first e-commerce alcohol sites, WineLibrary.com, which eventually became a $40 million annual business. Fast forward ten years, he was an early adopter of self-produced video content on YouTube, hosting “The Wine Library” series that provided wine reviews and commentary. Nowadays, he hosts the daily business podcast “The Gary Vee Audio Experience.”

In the year 2009, Gary Vaynerchuk partnered with his brother, A.J. Vaynerchuk, to establish a comprehensive advertising agency. More recently, Gary Vaynerchuk has been involved in launching lifestyle brands and projects such as the male-centric ONE37 and a line of sneakers with K-Swiss from 2017 to 2019.

Vaynerchuk uses his involvement with Vee Friends as evidence that limitless possibilities exist for content creators who possess a clear vision and are open to partnerships.

“He expresses that he’s adaptable in his role as a creator. In all his endeavors, there are five, four, three key aspects he prioritizes above all else, non-negotiables he uphold. A significant aspect of the Vee Friends universe revolves around discovering one’s passion and wholeheartedly embracing it.”
