As a die-hard NFL fan with over three decades of watching and analyzing games under my belt, I must say that the Madden 25 simulation of the NFC West battle between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs was quite intriguing. The first three quarters showcased a dominant defensive performance by the Chiefs, but the Bucs managed to mount an impressive comeback in the final quarter.

Houston Texans vs. New York Jets – NFL Week 9 Results According to Madden 25
TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
HOU | 7 | 7 | 10 | 3 | 27 |
NYJ | 3 | 7 | 3 | 7 | 20 |
In the AFC South, the Houston Texans are steadily widening their advantage following a Week 9 win against the New York Jets. Despite the matchup appearing tight on paper, the Texans held a two-score edge in the latter part of the game for the majority.
In today’s game, C.J. Stroud demonstrated superior performance compared to Aaron Rodgers by completing passes for 267 yards and scoring two touchdowns without any turnovers. Additionally, Joe Mixon contributed significantly to the Texans’ ground attack, rushing for 92 yards on 17 attempts and scoring one touchdown. Overall, the Texans had a rather productive day both offensively and defensively.
Trailing by 14 points in the final quarter, Aaron Rodgers didn’t manage to score until after the two-minute warning. A short touchdown pass to Allen Lazard allowed them to attempt an onside kick. Regrettably, they failed at this, and given they only had two timeouts left, Houston used up a significant amount of time. Remarkably, the Jets secured possession at their own 18-yard line. Unfortunately for them, even with Rodgers on the field, pulling off a comeback from over 80 yards was beyond reach.
Dallas Cowboys vs. Atlanta Falcons – NFL Week 9 Results According to Madden 25
TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
DAL | 3 | 7 | 7 | 14 | 31 |
ATL | 10 | 0 | 7 | 12 | 29 |
In an incredibly tight matchup, the Dallas Cowboys managed to edge out the Atlanta Falcons by a narrow margin, as the outcome wasn’t decided until the very last play of the game. Neither side ever established a comfortable two-score advantage over the other, ensuring that the contest remained highly competitive throughout.
Initially, it appeared that Atlanta was dominating with a 10-3 first quarter advantage. But then, in the second quarter, Dak Prescott connected with Jake Ferguson for a 12-yard touchdown, leveling the score. The game remained scoreless for some time, but Atlanta had an opportunity to regain the lead. Unfortunately, their kicker, Younghoe Koo, missed a 43-yard field goal attempt before halftime. As a fan, I found myself on the edge of my seat!
During the third period of play, each team scored a touchdown in turn. Dak Prescott connected with CeeDee Lamb, while Kirk Cousins threw to Drake London. As they entered the fourth quarter with a score of 17-17 apiece, the outcome remained uncertain and unpredictable.
In the fourth quarter, both teams scored additional touchdowns, but a crucial turning point occurred when Dallas blocked an extra point attempt. With the score at 24-23 in favor of Dallas, they went on to score another touchdown, taking the lead to 31-23. The Falcons didn’t surrender and had just over 4 minutes left to tie the game again. Later, with 1 minute and 27 seconds remaining, Kirk Cousins connected with Kyle Pitts for a 7-yard touchdown, bringing the score to 31-29 in favor of Dallas.
But, Bijan Robinson’s inability to score during the two-point conversion put Atlanta in a frenzy. Already having used a timeout earlier in the half and failing at an onside kick, these missteps left them vulnerable. Consequently, this turn of events helped Dallas end their two-game losing streak.
Miami Dolphins vs. Buffalo Bills – NFL Week 9 Results According to Madden 25
TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
MIA | 7 | 7 | 3 | 10 | 27 |
BUF | 10 | 7 | 3 | 10 | 30 |
In a tough battle that went down to the wire, the Bills managed to secure victory over the Dolphins. The game was filled with several lead changes, with Buffalo showing great determination to emerge victorious. Quarterbacks Tua Tagovailoa and Josh Allen both performed admirably, combining for 4 touchdowns and racking up a total of 556 yards. Allen also made 10 rushing attempts for 47 yards, contributing to the Bills’ team total of over 135 rushing yards.
Last week, Tyreek Hill was removed from the Madden 25’s elite 99 club, but in a recent game, he managed to catch 7 passes for 109 yards and scored two touchdowns. His final score gave Miami a lead of 27-20, but Allen and the Bills retaliated with a touchdown of their own. The rookie WR Keon Coleman then grabbed a four-yard pass to equalize the game.
During Miami’s second-to-last offensive series, running back DeVon Achane lost possession of the ball at the Buffalo 38. The recovery gave the Bills 5 minutes and 33 seconds to run down the clock and attempt a field goal. The ensuing drive lasted 4 minutes and 5 seconds as the Bills moved the ball methodically, even causing Miami to burn all their timeouts. Kicker Tyler Bass made the field goal, putting the Bills ahead for the first time in the game.
With less than a minute remaining, the Dolphins needed to score a field goal. Surprisingly, Tua passed the ball to Hill three consecutive times, but each attempt resulted in an incomplete pass or a drop. On fourth and ten, Tua threw it to Jaylen Waddle, gaining nine yards. Following that extraordinary play, Buffalo took a knee to secure their victory.
Las Vegas Raiders vs. Cincinnati Bengals – NFL Week 9 Results According to Madden 25
TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
LV | 0 | 3 | 0 | 7 | 10 |
CIN | 0 | 14 | 0 | 14 | 28 |
It appeared that both the Bengals and Raiders’ offenses were hesitant to perform except during the second and fourth quarters. The result was a humorous and engaging contest. However, Cincinnati managed to secure a crucial victory at a crucial stage of their season.
After Cincinnati’s offense became active, they built a commanding 14-0 lead. However, just before half time, Las Vegas managed to get a field goal on the board, but things were looking grim for the Silver and Black. They allowed the Bengals to increase their advantage to 21-3 in the fourth quarter before eventually scoring a touchdown with 9 minutes and 59 seconds remaining. Unfortunately for them, the Bengals quickly replied with another touchdown, extending their lead to 28-10.
In their victory, Joe Burrow completed passes totaling 289 yards, threw three touchdowns, and had one interception. Conversely, Gardner Minshew managed only one touchdown pass and one interception. Statistically speaking, it appeared that the Bengals were in control of most categories.
Los Angeles Chargers vs. Cleveland Browns – NFL Week 9 Results According to Madden 25
TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
LAC | 3 | 6 | 3 | 6 | 18 |
CLE | 0 | 7 | 3 | 7 | 17 |
In week 9, it was the Los Angeles Chargers’ special teams and defense that played a crucial role in securing a tough win against the Cleveland Browns. The game MVP is Cameron Dicker, who successfully converted all six of his field goal attempts, with only one being longer than 45 yards. Despite their offense managing to advance towards the opponent’s end zone, they unfortunately couldn’t score any touchdowns.
Fortunately for them, Cleveland’s offense didn’t improve much either. Jameis Winston managed to throw one touchdown, yet he also tossed two interceptions that resulted in field goals. Nick Chubb could only make a good 36-yard run, but at least Cleveland’s offense was able to score a single touchdown.
The game appeared to be in the bag when the Browns scored their final touchdown prematurely. A 25-yard touchdown pass to David Njoku gave the Chargers possession with 2 minutes and 18 seconds remaining, along with two timeouts. Justin Herbert then made a crucial fourth-down conversion by passing to Joshua Palmer for 7 yards. After several more pass plays, Cameron Dicker kicked a 31-yard field goal to secure the victory.
New England Patriots vs. Tennessee Titans – NFL Week 9 Results According to Madden 25
TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | OT | FINAL |
NE | 0 | 0 | 0 | 10 | 3 | 13 |
TEN | 3 | 0 | 7 | 0 | 0 | 10 |
In the first three quarters, New England struggled to score, but managed to overturn their fortunes and emerged victorious against the Tennessee Titans in overtime. Trailing 10-0 in the final quarter, quarterback Jacoby Brissett was instrumental in transforming a dismal game situation. Despite throwing two interceptions and getting sacked four times earlier, he spearheaded two distinct scoring drives during the fourth quarter to level the score.
During overtime, it was the Titans who got the ball first, but things turned around when Tony Pollard fumbled midfield and Christian Elliss of the Patriots recovered it. Later on, Rhamondre Stevenson of the Patriots caught a crucial third-down pass, advancing 18 yards. A few plays after that, Joey Slye successfully kicked a 43-yard field goal to secure the victory for New England.
Washington Commanders vs. New York Giants – NFL Week 9 Results According to Madden 25
TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
WAS | 7 | 7 | 7 | 3 | 24 |
NYG | 0 | 3 | 7 | 0 | 10 |
Over the weekend, the Washington Commanders managed their game against the New York Giants without requiring another miracle, winning with a score of 24-10. With a lead of 21-3 in the third quarter, they prevented the Giants from scoring a touchdown until there were approximately 3 minutes and 27 seconds left in the same quarter. Quarterback Jayden Daniels performed well, completing 18 out of 25 passes for a total of 229 yards and two overall touchdowns.
Daniel Jones achieved his first touchdown in nearly two months by connecting with Darius Slayton for a 27-yard score. However, following that, New York Giants encountered difficulties again in reaching the end zone. Conversely, Washington maintained control of the ball throughout the fourth quarter, adding another field goal to their tally, as they largely dominated the game’s possession.
With the win, the Commanders advance to 7-2 while the Giants drop to 2-7.
New Orleans Saints vs. Carolina Panthers – NFL Week 9 Results According to Madden 25
TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
NO | 3 | 10 | 3 | 7 | 23 |
CAR | 7 | 7 | 0 | 0 | 14 |
The Saints managed to turn around a 14-3 disadvantage and ultimately outplayed the Carolina Panthers for the win. Given Andy Dalton’s unclear condition, we opted to play quarterback Bryce Young during the game. To begin with, Young demonstrated impressive form in the first half, completing two touchdown passes. One of these was a 43-yard pass to Xavier Legette. Regrettably, their momentum didn’t carry over into the second half.
During the second quarter and beyond, New Orleans gradually whittled down Carolina’s advantage. They took a 16-14 lead when Blake Grupe successfully kicked a 28-yard field goal. Later in the fourth quarter, HB Alvin Kamara alleviated Saints fans’ concerns by scoring a 15-yard touchdown. The Panthers had an opportunity to narrow the gap, but Eddy Pineiro missed a 52-yard field goal with only 4 minutes and 1 second left on the clock.
The Saints earn their first win since September 15th, while Carolina drops to 1-8.
Denver Broncos vs. Baltimore Ravens – NFL Week 9 Results According to Madden 25
TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
DEN | 3 | 7 | 3 | 3 | 16 |
BAL | 10 | 17 | 6 | 3 | 36 |
This season, the Broncos have been showing some impressive football skills, particularly with their rookie quarterback leading the team who’s still learning the ropes. Yet, the Ravens made it clear that only exceptional teams secure wins in NFL games that count, as they handily beat them 36-16.
In the closing moments of the first half, it wasn’t until the last 30 seconds that Denver scored their first touchdown. At this stage in the game, they trailed behind with a score of 27-10. Lamar Jackson had managed to score three touchdowns while Denver had committed three turnovers.
In the latter part of the game, things became more leisurely paced, but the Ravens managed another score following Derrick Henry’s 21-yard touchdown run. Unfortunately, Justin Tucker missed the extra point attempt, yet with a commanding lead of 33-10, there was no cause for worry. The Broncos subsequently added a couple of field goals, ending their record at 5-4. Bouncing back from a defeat against Cleveland, Baltimore now stands at 6-3.
Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Philadelphia Eagles – NFL Week 9 Results According to Madden 25
TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
JAX | 7 | 0 | 0 | 14 | 21 |
PHI | 7 | 14 | 7 | 7 | 35 |
The Eagles finally scored their first touchdown of the season as they defeated the Jaguars 35-21.
In a spectacular performance, each offensive standout of the Eagles shone brightly. Jalen Hurts notched four touchdowns and passed for over 285 yards in the victory. Furthermore, HB Saquon Barkley gained 134 rushing yards on 22 attempts. A.J. Brown and Devonta Smith combined for 178 total receiving yards and scored three touchdowns. Today, every player delivered for Philadelphia.
During their initial drive, Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars performed admirably, with Tank Bigsby capping it off with an 11-yard touchdown run. Unfortunately, Jacksonville’s offense struggled until the fourth quarter, where they managed to score two more touchdowns in the final minutes. With a loss against his former team on the horizon this weekend, will Doug Pederson’s tenure in Jacksonville come to an end? We’ll discover the answer soon.
Chicago Bears vs. Arizona Cardinals – NFL Week 9 Results According to Madden 25
TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
CHI | 7 | 3 | 7 | 6 | 23 |
AZ | 3 | 3 | 3 | 9 | 18 |
Over the weekend, the Bears’ defense successfully thwarted any potential comeback from the Arizona Cardinals, ensuring a win for them. D’Andre Swift proved to be a force to reckon with, tearing through the Arizona defense for a total of 130 rushing yards on 24 attempts and scoring two touchdowns. Caleb Williams had an unremarkable performance but managed to avoid any costly mistakes.
As a gamer, I found myself cheering for the Cardinals, but they were having a tough time scoring a touchdown until the fourth quarter. With the score at 20-12 against us, and only 5 minutes and 3 seconds left on the clock, James Conner powered his way into the end zone from 14 yards out. But, unfortunately, Kyler Murray’s pass to Marvin Harrison Jr. fell incomplete, keeping Chicago ahead.
The pairing of Swift and Roschon Johnson from the HB position proved overwhelming for Arizona’s defense. Although they eventually contained the Bears, it wasn’t until they scored a field goal that made the score 23-18. With just 43 seconds remaining, the Cardinals struggled to advance downfield, ultimately losing to the Bears.
Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers – NFL Week 9 Results According to Madden 25
TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
DET | 14 | 7 | 7 | 10 | 38 |
GB | 7 | 10 | 14 | 3 | 34 |
In this intense matchup between the Lions and Packers, Detroit emerged victorious following a powerful fourth quarter performance. This game was a showdown of two exceptional quarterbacks, Jared Goff from Detroit and Jordan Love from Green Bay. The two QBs combined for 663 passing yards, six touchdowns, and just one turnover. Both teams demonstrated impressive ground games as well.
In the running game, Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery are consistently taking charge, amassing a total of 129 yards after 26 attempts. Meanwhile, Josh Jacobs is making waves on the opposing side, gaining 89 yards from 18 carries, with a significant portion of that coming from a single 45-yard touchdown rush.
Throughout the match, there was an intense back-and-forth struggle for dominance between the two teams, with lead changes occurring frequently. In the final quarter, the Packers were ahead by 10 points, but Detroit’s defense stepped up their game and made crucial stops. Concurrently, Jared Goff and his team mounted a field goal drive that ended in a tie.
With about six minutes and forty-seven seconds remaining, Green Bay executed a four-minute scoring drive that ended with a field goal. Still having ample opportunity to level the score, Detroit marched their way downfield. In a crucial third-down situation at the Green Bay 8-yard line, Goff threw a touchdown pass to Sam LaPorta in the end zone.
With only 39 seconds remaining, Green Bay was on the brink of scoring a touchdown, but they couldn’t pull off a last-minute miracle and ended up losing to their division rivals instead.
Los Angeles Rams vs. Seattle Seahawks – NFL Week 9 Results According to Madden 25
TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
LAR | 0 | 7 | 3 | 8 | 18 |
SEA | 7 | 7 | 0 | 7 | 21 |
In a crucial clash against their division rival, the Seahawks managed to grab the lead in the NFC West standings. Although the game was far from aesthetically pleasing, the Seahawks successfully kept the Rams’ attack at bay and scored three touchdowns themselves.
In the opening stages, Dee Williams raced back the initial kickoff to the Rams’ 26, and just five plays after that, Kenneth Walker III powered his way across the goal line. The Seahawks’ offense didn’t make much noise until the Rams scored a touchdown in the second quarter. However, before the break, Geno Smith connected with Tyler Lockett for a scoring pass of 10 yards.
In the third quarter, the Rams scored a field goal to narrow the gap but remained behind Seattle. The situation worsened when Walker III scored his second touchdown, increasing their lead to 21-10. Despite L.A. scoring another touchdown and successfully converting their two-point attempt, they failed to advance past midfield again for the remainder of the game, resulting in a Seahawks victory.
Indianapolis Colts vs. Minnesota Vikings – NFL Week 9 Results According to Madden 25
TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
IND | 3 | 0 | 3 | 7 | 13 |
MIN | 3 | 9 | 3 | 7 | 29 |
The Vikings ended their two consecutive losses by triumphing over the Colts with a score of 29-13. Their defense had a remarkable performance, causing Anthony Richardson to throw two interceptions and be sacked for a safety in the defeat. However, Minnesota’s offense struggled just as much when eliminating turnovers from the equation.
In a less than spectacular performance, QB Sam Darnold managed to complete only 14 out of 28 passes for just 151 yards and one touchdown. The Vikings predominantly leaned on Aaron Jones who accumulated a decent 65 yards from 17 carries with a touchdown. Stephon Gilmore was the star of the show, scoring on an interception return in the fourth quarter to make it 29-6. Despite not being a particularly stylish victory, Minnesota desperately needed this win to keep their hopes alive in the NFC North division battle.
Meanwhile, Los Angeles is temporarily trailing with a score of 3-5. Yet, there’s ample opportunity left for them to seize control in the NFC West competition.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Kansas City Chiefs – NFL Week 9 Results According to Madden 25
TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
TB | 0 | 0 | 0 | 16 | 16 |
KC | 0 | 7 | 10 | 7 | 24 |
In the initial three-quarters of the game, the Chiefs’ defense significantly disrupted Baker Mayfield, sacking him five times, intercepting a pass, and recovering a fumble. However, despite being without their top two receivers, Tampa Bay Bucaneers almost staged a comeback in the final stages, but Kansas City narrowly avoided collapse.
Despite the Kansas City Chiefs’ offense facing challenges without top-tier wide receiver talent, Travis Kelce remains a dependable option, snagging 8 passes for 83 yards and a score. When Mahomes didn’t target Kelce, he managed to complete just 9 other passes for 122 yards. A significant portion of those yards stemmed from a 51-yard touchdown pass to DeAndre Hopkins, but that was his only catch in the game.
It appears that Kareem Hunt’s performance was a significant concern, managing just 40 rushing yards on 16 attempts. However, he did contribute with two receptions for 27 yards. For the most part, Hunt had minimal impact on the game. This proved to be problematic for the Chiefs, as they found it challenging to run down the clock towards the end of the match.
Trailing 24-0, Baker Mayfield and the Bucs managed to score two consecutive touchdowns with successful two-point conversions each. Unfortunately, time was against them as they had only 26 seconds left after their second touchdown. They failed to recover an onside kick in their final attempt, resulting in a loss for the team.
To sum up, here are the outcomes from the NFL Week 9 games based on Madden 25 simulations. As we’ve reached the midpoint of the season, it will be interesting to see how accurate these results are. Naturally, we’re eagerly anticipating more football action, which kicks off again this Thursday evening.
