NFL QB Thanks Trolls For Landing Him A Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 Partnership

As a longtime fan of both Kyler Murray and Call of Duty, I find this partnership absolutely thrilling! It’s not every day that we see our favorite athletes embrace their passions so openly. And let me tell you, it’s been a rollercoaster ride watching Kyler navigate the world of gaming and football.

Arizona NFL Quarterback Kyler Murray has revealed a collaboration with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, despite earlier backlash from fans who felt his enthusiasm for the game might be affecting his field play. This tie-up coincides with the release of a fresh Replacer ad, where the Replacer character stands in for Murray during a press conference.

Murray recently announced a partnership deal on Twitter, expressing gratitude to his critics who once mocked him for playing Call of Duty excessively. This mockery followed after he signed a contract with an “independent study” clause, which required him to devote four hours weekly to studying football films without any other distractions. This was unusual for starting quarterbacks in the NFL. However, this clause was later removed from his contract.

Following the public scrutiny of my contract terms, there was chatter suggesting it was because I was spending too much time on Call of Duty. This sparked some playful banter among fans, who compared my performance during double XP weekends to my regular stats, often humorously critiquing me. Now, the new ad acknowledges this, with its YouTube description saying “No need to wait for a double XP weekend when you have The Replacer.” (I’m just a fan sharing the gist of the original text!)

In this collaboration, The Replacer is showcased in numerous advertisements, a character once prominent in Call of Duty promotions. Originally, he was your substitute at work to allow gaming. Interestingly, in Black Ops 6, he portrayed the Pope. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will launch on October 25 across Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, and PC platforms.
