Next Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater Game To Launch This Summer – Report

It appears that the upcoming Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater title is rumored for release this summer, which seems to support the statements made by another professional skater last week about a new game in development.

Based on information from a source known as eXtas1s, it is expected that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 (codenamed Project Chicago) will be unveiled during Microsoft’s upcoming, yet-to-be-announced Xbox Summer Showcase event in June. The game might be released simultaneously on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, as well as the Game Pass service. However, it remains uncertain whether the game is also planned for release on Nintendo Switch 2.

Yesterday, professional skater Tyshawn Jones hinted that he will be appearing in a future Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater game, although Activision has not officially confirmed the development of a new one yet. It was previously reported that a combination of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4 was turned down by Activision following the release of 1 and 2 in 2020. However, with Microsoft now in charge, there might have been some changes in their plans since then.

Although Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 isn’t currently available on Game Pass, considering that Activision is now part of Microsoft, it might be reasonable to expect the addition of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4. Microsoft has had success with secretly releasing games onto Game Pass in the past, such as Hi-Fi Rush and Ninja Gaiden 2 Black by Team Ninja last month, serving as a surprise for players until the release of Ninja Gaiden 4 later this year.

If Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4 are unveiled, there’s a good chance you’ll spot the PlayStation emblem in the announcement trailer. As per Xbox boss Phil Spencer, Microsoft is planning to display logos from other platforms during their showcases moving forward.
