Next Pokemon TCG Pocket Expansion Will Add The Extradimensional Ultra Beasts

In the upcoming expansion for the free-to-play mobile version of the Pokémon Trading Card Game (PTCG), we’ll see the introduction of Ultra Beasts from the Pokémon Sun and Moon dimensions. Players can expect these new characters without having to delay their excitement for too long.

As a dedicated gamer, I’m thrilled to announce that starting May 29th, the Extradimensional Crisis expansion will drop into our world, flooding the Pokémon TCG Pocket realm with over 100 fresh cards! Among these newcomers, you’ll find a host of Trainer cards, Pokémon EX, and for the very first time, Ultra Beast cards. Although it seems like each Ultra Beast card is our version of alien invaders, they’re clearly marked as such in the game. Can’t wait to strategize with these newcomers!

It enables them to engage with other cards in specific manners, such as Trainer Lusamine, who can retrieve energy from the discard pile and connect it to an Ultra Beast.

Although attention primarily lies with the Ultra Beasts, namely Buzzwole, Blacephalon, and Nihilego, it’s important to note that there are also non-Ultra Beast cards in the mix, including Tapu Koko EX and others.

15 days from now, the Extradimensional Crisis is expected to occur. This crisis follows the launch of the Celestial Guardians expansion for the Pokemon Trading Card Game (TCG), which introduced Alolan versions of numerous Pokemons, along with new cards for legendary Pokemons like Solgaleo and Lunala. Notably, this expansion was released in conjunction with the six-month anniversary of the Pokemon TCG Pocket, an event that offered players a chance to gather promotional cards, coins, playmats, and other aesthetic rewards through an in-game event.

creators of the Pokemon TCG Pocket game, Creatures Inc. and DeNA, revealed in March their intention to revamp the game’s disliked trading system, which had only recently been launched. They announced plans to eliminate the existing trade-token currency in an update this autumn, replacing it with Shinedust, a currency that is currently used for cosmetic enhancements on cards. Developers aim to boost the amount of Shinedust players can earn to accommodate its new role as a trading currency.
