Stepping into Jurassic World: Reborn! The latest installment of the renowned series now has its confirmed title, and the story unfolds five years following the events of Jurassic World: Dominion.
Actress Scarlett Johansson, known for her role as Black Widow, will appear in Jurassic World: Rebirth as the character Zora Bennett, a skilled operative specializing in covert operations. Her assignment is to collect genetic samples from three massive dinosaurs to aid in the development of an innovative new drug for mankind. However, during this mission, Zora unexpectedly becomes involved with a group of civilians and finds herself stranded on an island.
Below is the official plot synopsis:
Five years following the Jurassic World Dominion incidents, Earth’s ecosystem has largely become unsuitable for dinosaurs. Those few survivors inhabit isolated equatorial regions characterized by climates similar to their original habitats. In this tropical sanctuary reside the three largest creatures, and it is they who hold the secret to a groundbreaking drug that could offer extraordinary life-saving advantages for humanity.
As a gamer, I found myself in a similar situation when my gaming avatar, Zora, stumbled upon a family of civilians whose boat trip was wrecked by aggressive sea dinosaurs. Stranded on an island, we were about to uncover a chilling secret that had been kept hidden from the world for decades – a dark revelation that left us all in shock.
In the upcoming film “Jurassic World Rebirth,” Johnson will be joined by Jonathan Bailey (known for Bridgerton and Wicked), Mahershala Ali (famous for Moonlight), Rupert Friend (recognized from Obi-Wan Kenobi), and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (who appeared in 6 Underground on Netflix and Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer). Gareth Edwards, the director of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, is helming the project, with a script penned by David Koepp, who wrote the original Jurassic Park.

Two fresh images, posted on X, offer a glimpse into Jurassic World Rebirth. One image features Johansson’s character Zora alongside Dr. Henry Loomis, played by Bailey and recognized as a paleontologist. The second image appears to echo the classic road flare scene from Jurassic Park, featuring Ali in the role of Duncan Kincaid, who is Zora’s right-hand man.
Jurassic World Rebirth is planned to premiere July 2, 2025.
