As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming experience under my belt, I can say that Nexon’s latest teaser has me intrigued and guessing who this mysterious Chill Descendant could be. While Dominique and Captain Harris are popular suggestions, I find it hard to believe they’ll redesign existing characters for the role of a Descendant.
On August 13, 2024, Nexon gave fans a sneak peek at an upcoming Descendant, revealing only the outline of her figure and hinting that she possesses ice powers. With minimal details revealed, players are left speculating about the identity of this enigmatic new character.

There’s a strong possibility that the latest addition to our family tree might be Dominique. Numerous gamers have voiced their opinions about this on Reddit, as well as in response to the official tweet.
Dominique is spotted in Hagios with Blair, and a Reddit user claims a leak indicates she belongs to the Chill class, alongside Viessa. While players speculate about weapons based on the sniper-like weapon the new character wields, I’m doubtful that the profile of the new Descendant matches our current understanding of Dominique. Additionally, it seems unlikely that Nexon would modify an existing character to present them as a Descendant.
When you examine Dominque’s image from her assigned mission and the silhouette, there are far too many discrepancies. Notably, Dominque usually dons a hood and has bangs, neither of which appear in the silhouetted image. Additionally, shoulder armor – a key component of Dominique’s distinctive outfit – is absent from the silhouette as well.
A different option proposed was Captain Harris, however, there are more inconsistencies between this silhouette and Captain Harris’ attire compared to Dominque’s design. Her hairstyle is noticeably higher than the silhouette’s low bun, and the coat doesn’t seem to fit correctly.

There’s a good chance that Nexon created a fresh Descendant character for their team. It’s exciting to note that this new Descendant possesses the Chill attribute, which is relatively uncommon among the existing Descendants.
In the last update, Hotfix 1.0.5, which wrapped up in late July, Luna, the latest addition to our line of descendants, made her appearance to The Original Descendant. We might have a brief spell before the next descendant is introduced into the game, but I’m confident Nexon won’t make us wait too much longer.
In other words, Luna was unveiled through a comparable shadowy post a week prior to her inclusion in the game. So, could it be that the upcoming Cool Descedant character is scheduled for Hotfix 1.0.8? We’ll discover the answer shortly.
