Wedding venue catches fire mid-party

On July 13th, user @frosty.johnson.v2 shared a brief clip on TikTok that captured a wedding in Australia. As the newlyweds entered the reception area, it appeared there was a small fire in the background near some of the decorations.

As the pair danced deeper into the hall accompanied by drum beats, a fire unexpectedly began to advance, causing a few attendees to become alarmed.

Efforts were underway to extinguish the fire, but the application of indoor fireworks hindered our progress in fighting the blaze.

Shortly afterward, the TikTok account posted another video, this time showcasing the “consequences” or “results.” It appeared that the venue’s sprinkler system had gone off, drenching the wedding reception in water.

Onlookers swiftly voiced their sympathy for the couple and guests. “I feel terribly for the couple,” one commented. “Given that people spotted the fire right away, it might have been prevented if someone had requested a fire extinguisher from the staff,” another pointed out.

It is crucial to have a fire marshal present during events involving smoke machines and fireworks. This individual can temporarily disable the fire alarm when necessary. Some individuals have expressed concern about the use of indoor pyrotechnics, suggesting that they should be prohibited.
