As a lifelong Trekkie who has been attending New York Comic-Con for over two decades, this year’s event promises to be nothing short of extraordinary! The “Star Trek Universe” panel, with the final season of “Lower Decks” and the premiere of “Star Trek: Section 31,” is sure to ignite a spark in my heart that only Starfleet can.

Original Sin”, and will also invite the cast and makers of the paranormal high school show “School Spirits” to talk about Season 2.

On Friday, October 18th, the “School Spirits” discussion will delve into updates about teenage ghost Maddie Nears (Peyton List), played by Peyton List, and her journey to re-enter the world of the living, following her discovery of how she came to be in the afterlife. The series was developed by Megan Trinrud and Nate Trinrud, and features Kristian Ventura, Milo Manheim, Spencer MacPherson, Kiara Pichardo, Sarah Yarkin, Nick Pugliese, and Rainbow Wedell as co-stars. Season 2 is slated for release later in the year.

On October 19th, the “Star Trek Universe” panel will showcase the cast and makers of the humorous animated series “Star Trek: Lower Decks”, offering a sneak peek at its fifth and concluding season. This new season is set to debut five days later on October 24th. The series, masterminded by Mike McMahan, features Tawny Newsome, Jack Quaid, Noël Wells, and Eugene Cordero as four lesser-ranked crew members aboard the USS Cerritos. These characters were all elevated from their ensign positions to lieutenant (junior grade) in Season 4.

At the “Star Trek” panel, you’ll get to see both the cast and producers of “Star Trek: Section 31,” a groundbreaking TV movie for the franchise. Directed by Olatunde Osunsanmi, who has previously worked on “Star Trek: Discovery,” this film brings back Michelle Yeoh as Philippa Georgiou from “Discovery.” In this alternate reality, she was once a ruthless dictator from the Mirror Universe and is now in the main “Trek” universe. The storyline finds her being drafted into a covert division of Starfleet called Section 31, with characters played by Omari Hardwick, Sam Richardson, and Kacey Rohl.

Richardson shared with EbMaster in July during San Diego Comic-Con that the movie is a mix of various elements,” said Richardson. “It’s packed with action, has dramatic moments, and even brings humor into play; essentially, it’s an equal blend of all three.

In conclusion, in order to kick off the premiere of the prequel series “Dexter: Original Sin,” Paramount+ is recreating Dexter Morgan’s “kill room” at their booth during the convention. Fans will get a chance to step inside this immersive experience for a photo opportunity and an exclusive sneak peek into how Dexter became a serial killer of other killers.
