Microsoft recently introduced an update for Xbox that enables players to personalize their home screen even more extensively. At present, these new features are exclusively accessible to Alpha Skip-Ahead and Alpha users, with wider availability coming later. If you’re eager to try out these changes ahead of others, consider joining the free Xbox Insider program to gain early access to upcoming Xbox updates.
Microsoft has shared that users have expressed a desire for a more customized home screen on Xbox, particularly requesting the hiding of seldom-used tiles and reducing overall clutter. In response, this latest update aims to address these preferences by offering a more personalized experience.
As a dedicated user, I’m thrilled to be part of this journey as we continuously strive to tailor Home to reflect my personality, adapt to my needs, and respond effectively to my suggestions, as clearly communicated by the company.
As a thrilled enthusiast, I can’t help but share the excitement about the latest update! First off, there’s a brand new addition to my Home screen – the “Hide System Apps” feature. No more system apps cluttering up the “recently played games” section!
Secondly, we have the exciting new “Pin Favorites to Home.” This fantastic feature lets me pin up to three of my most frequently used games or apps right at the top of the “recently played list.” Microsoft mentioned that these pinned items will remain near the front as I launch other things, ensuring quick and easy access to my favorite titles!
The third option is “Decrease Number of Displayed Tiles.” Although it isn’t accessible at the moment, users can expect to minimize the number of tiles displayed in their recently played games and apps list once it becomes available. Microsoft has stated that they are still perfecting this setting and it will be rolled out soon.
In related updates, Microsoft has just bumped up the cost of Xbox consoles and plans to implement a $80 fee for games by year-end. The Xbox Games Showcase is slated for June 8, followed directly by an Outer Worlds 2 live stream presentation.
