Having grown up on classics like Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and Alone in the Dark, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia at the prospect of returning to those dark, haunting worlds.
The second installment of “Tormented Souls” recently showcased a 24-minute gameplay trailer, courtesy of publisher PQube and developer Dual Effect. This new trailer offers a chilling sneak peek into the revisited realm of Tormented Souls. The entire game has been meticulously redesigned using Unreal Engine 5, featuring fresh environments to traverse and all animations captured through motion technology. Additionally, the game is slated to be significantly larger than its forerunner, boasting an expansive size that’s roughly three times that of the original “Tormented Souls.”>
Similar to its predecessor, Tormented Souls 2 maintains a tribute to survival horror classics by employing a static camera angle and providing the main character with improvised weapons. These gameplay elements are likely to be familiar to fans of Silent Hill. Furthermore, it will incorporate puzzles, intense psychological terror, combat sequences, and other elements. The developers claim that with enhancements over the original game, this title will “take the horror experience to previously unseen heights.”
In Tormented Souls II, the protagonist Caroline Walker undertakes a heart-wrenching mission to rescue her sister from an enigmatic ailment. Six months after their initial ordeal, this unyielding adventure immerses you in a tale rich with hidden truths and unexpected turns.
