New Steam game is literally a scalper simulator where you flip a profit buying up items

Scalpers’ Spoils is a new game on Steam where you play as someone who buys limited-edition items and resells them at a higher price to make money.

According to the game’s store page, the upcoming title is described as a “chaotic action and management sim” where players race against crowds to grab products before reselling them through various means at marked-up prices.

Players race to grab popular items, compete with others online, solve tricky security checks, and even negotiate with customers – all to make the most money possible.

Scalpers stronger together

According to the Steam page, you can play this game alone or with up to four friends online.

The game includes challenges like rushing to grab items during busy store restocks, competing against other players to get what you need before it’s gone. It also features online shopping events where quick checkout is key to securing limited-stock items.

As I’ve been playing, I’ve noticed a bunch of stuff in the game that’s totally based on things people actually flip for huge profits in real life – like sneakers, collectible cards, and those mystery blind box toys. It’s pretty obvious where the inspiration came from!

Once players have gathered items, they can choose to sell them either in a shop or by meeting buyers online using the game’s marketplace.

Okay, so this game isn’t just about playing – there’s a whole lot of stuff to manage. I’m talking about organizing my storage, keeping track of prices for everything, hiring delivery people, and even dealing with packs. You can either resell those sealed packs for a profit, or take a gamble and open them hoping for something super rare. It’s a fun little side hustle within the game, honestly.

Parodie Games, the creators of the game, say it’s set in a place called “Scar City.” The game’s Steam page playfully explains that you collect people’s hobbies as items.

Scalpers’ Spoils doesn’t have a release date yet, but in the meantime, you might be interested in learning about a potential solution Japan is exploring to combat Pokemon card scalping.
