Against the galactic cultists

Our adventure begins with selecting and customizing our commander, followed by joining forces with the crew to command an ancient spaceship. Our objective is the legendary Tomb of Spirits, which lies within a treacherous, shadowy cosmos. Along the way, we’ll encounter cultists, pirates, and renegades from the imperial army.

In the game named “Void War“, we’ll experience the fast-paced action from a bird’s eye view, primarily focusing on our spaceship and the activities of the crew within it. From this vantage point, we will give commands and manage the real-time functioning of various ship systems, such as performing repairs, boarding enemy ships, or selecting targets for cannon fire (like life support systems, for instance). It’s important to keep in mind that our adversaries will also engage in similar activities, targeting crucial components of our vessel.

Beyond just combat, we can also enhance our arsenal with new weapons or boost our vessel with extra modules for added functionality. We’ll also take on additional crew members and equip them accordingly to boost their chances of survival. The game promises an array of unpredictable events, enhancing its replayability factor significantly. I’d like to note that the game features a techno-gothic pixel art aesthetic throughout its design.

Demo version

The game titled “Void War” is scheduled for release towards the end of May, however, there’s already a significant amount of excitement among players regarding this upcoming title. As per SteamDB statistics, more than 6,300 individuals have expressed interest in this game by following it.

Playing the alpha version of Void War earlier than expected was beneficial, as the developers released it through itch.io in October 2024. From February 4th, 2025, you can even get a taste with the demo available on Steam for download.
