New PS5 Update Brings Big Changes To Activity Settings

Starting today, Sony is gradually rolling out an updated system software for the PS5, labeled as version 25.02-11.00.00, for its users.

In the latest version, player activities are now clearly shown, though any potential spoilers remain concealed. Furthermore, the game now accepts Unicode 16.0 emojis, enabling players to incorporate them into their communications.

The recent update introduces modifications to the parental controls on the PS5, specifically the restrictions settings. When these are set to “Late Teens or Older,” the “Communication and User-Created Content” feature will now automatically be set to “Limited.” However, those who have already set their levels to “Late Teens or Older” won’t see any changes in their current settings, and it will continue to display “Customize” instead of “Limited.

Ultimately, you’ll notice some enhancements in the overall performance and reliability of our system software, along with improved message clarity on various screens.

The most recent update for the PlayStation 5 system was made in January, and it mainly included minor enhancements to speed and reliability.

To mark the 20th anniversary of the God of War series, Sony has unveiled the Dark Odyssey cosmetic DLC for God of War Ragnarok. Additionally, it’s rumored that a Greek side-story is in development for God of War as well. Excitingly, Sony has also confirmed that Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will debut on June 26 for PlayStation 5.
