New on Steam. A continuation to an RPG masterpiece, a sequel to an economic strategy from 6 years ago and a detective duo

This week, we’re taking a more relaxed approach in our series as we delve into significant Steam releases. The tranquility stems from an understandable apprehension among publishers; the anticipated launch of Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5 might potentially overshadow their games.

Release of the week: Deltarune (June 4, 2025)

Deltarune is a role-playing game that takes place within the same universe as Undertale, and it’s garnered an impressive 96% positive rating on Steam. Unlike traditional RPGs, this game offers not just battle sequences but also alternative methods for resolving conflicts using skillful mini-games instead of violence.

Among the games set to launch this week, it’s Deltarune that Steam users are most excitedly counting down to. On this platform, a whopping 106,000 players have shown interest in the game. In comparison, Popucom follows closely with about 15,000 followers.
