As a dedicated fan, I’m ecstatic about the incredible sales success of Capcom’s Monster Hunter Rampage in the wild! However, some of us have encountered a bit of performance hiccups. Yet, the community spirit is thriving! Some enthusiasts are tweaking it with DLSS 4 to enhance image quality, while others are inventing new speedrunning tools that will streamline our monster hunting adventures. The camaraderie and creativity in this gaming world never cease to amaze me!
Monster Hunter Wilds speedrunning mod
Crafted by modder Ptrawt, the “Kill Time Tracker” modification simplifies the process of tracking records throughout the entire game for players. Given that there are 29 formidable beasts to hunt across various ranks, players will have numerous chances to refine their optimal speedrunning paths.
This mod for the PC version of the game, dubbed “Kill Time Tracker,” enables players to monitor the time taken to defeat each monster, regardless of its rank, difficulty level, or weapon used. The mod maintains all these timings internally, empowering players to continually strive for improved performance by beating their own records.
As a devoted player, I must admit it’s quite disappointing not to have an option for setting personal time goals within the game or linking my progress with speedrunning leaderboards to compete against top players. However, this tool proves to be incredibly beneficial in helping me achieve my own objectives and work towards self-improvement.
To get this mod running, you’ll not only need to download it from this location, but also two other mods: REFramework and CatLib. The first one, REFramework, is required to insert Lua scripts into Monster Hunter Wilds. On the other hand, CatLib is a collection of utility scripts that many mods for Wilds rely on.
Speaking of Monster Hunter Wilds, its speedrunning potential is just starting to be explored. Despite a few dedicated players reaching the highest rank shortly after release, we’re looking at decades worth of speedrunning content yet to be uncovered.
Furthermore, the player base for the latest Capcom game is currently enormous, boasting over six million members who are relentlessly defeating monsters to transform them into resources. One might wonder just how many monsters could potentially perish due to this speedrunning modification. Someone should call PETA! (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals)
To stay updated on Monster Hunter Wilds, explore the launch date and details of Title Update 1, which will soon be rolled out. Also, delve into the widely-used farming technique in the game, as Capcom has announced plans to remove it with an upcoming fix.
