New Metroid Prime 4 Trailer Has Space Battles, Samus Flips, And An Akira Slide

Nintendo recently released a new trailer for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, called “Survive,” giving fans a look at the planet Viewros and what Samus Aran will face there. The trailer, which is about 70 seconds long, shows Samus’s ship battling in the air and includes a cool motorcycle sequence that references a famous scene from the anime film Akira.

The new trailer for Metroid Prime 4 shows off several different environments on the planet. Samus explores a vibrant jungle, a strikingly futuristic black structure, and, as is typical for the series, a fiery lava-filled area. We also see her scanning a new robotic enemy called a psy-bot soldier and battling the boss Aberax, who was previously shown in a Nintendo Treehouse presentation.

A new video offers another glimpse of the Vi-O-La, a high-tech motorcycle, as Samus uses it to navigate a desert and battle enemies. The video concludes with the appearance of Sylux, hinting that he’ll be the primary villain in the upcoming game for both the Switch and Switch 2.

Okay, so last month, a trailer for Metroid Prime 4 leaked, and it looks like we got our first glimpse of a new boss! It showed someone playing with a mouse and keyboard – looks like a Switch 2 version of the game is in the works – and then they ran into this crazy spherical enemy called Xelios. I’m so hyped to fight it!

As a huge Metroid fan, I’m so excited! TopMob recently got to play Metroid Prime 4, and it’s coming out December 4th – that’s just a month away! They’re even releasing two Amiibo figures this week, which is awesome. And get this – Nintendo just announced the Switch 2 has already sold 10 million units in just four months! It’s a great time to be a Nintendo fan.
