New Marvel vs Capcom Trailer Showcases Original Clash of Heroes

As a die-hard fan of the Marvel vs Capcom series who’s been around since the days of X-Men vs Street Fighter, I can’t help but feel a surge of nostalgia with every new announcement about this iconic crossover. The latest trailer for the Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics has me reminiscing about my teenage years spent in arcades, dropping quarters into MVC games like it was going out of style.

2021’s highly anticipated release, Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics, allows fans to relive timeless battles using modern technology. Fans eagerly anticipate whether this collection might pave the way for a future Marvel vs Capcom 4, although predicting it can be challenging due to complex licensing matters.

In anticipation of a possible fourth installment, Capcom has unveiled a new trailer featuring the “initial” title within this series. While Marvel vs Capcapcom: Clash of Heroes may be considered the first game in the collection, it’s technically the third entry when taking into account all crossover games.

As a long-time fan of both Marvel and Capcom franchises, I must say that the new trailer for the Marvel vs Capcom collection has really got me excited! What stood out to me was the spotlight on Clash of Heroes as the first game to bear the MVC name. This takes me back to my younger days when I first discovered these iconic characters like Mega Man, Captain Commando, and even Venom in this legendary series. It’s incredible to see how these characters have evolved over time and I can’t wait to see how they will clash once again in the upcoming release.

Prior to the launch of Clash of Heroes, there had already been two crossover games featuring Marvel and Capcom characters: X-Men vs Street Fighter and Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter. These games laid the foundation for this thrilling series, with Clash of Heroes building upon that by introducing an additional feature. Players were able to select a character who could only provide assistance, in addition to their tag team. This resulted in even more chaotic battles.

The Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics hasn’t been given an official launch date yet, but it’s expected to arrive this year. Excitingly, gamers can look forward to playing this extensive collection on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and personal computers.
