A brief and exciting trailer for Saros, the upcoming third-person shooter from Housemarque, was shown during The Game Awards on December 11th.
The latest trailer didn’t reveal much that wasn’t already shown before – we still see the eclipse, Rahul Kohli as a brooding and attractive character, and plenty of action with flying objects and tentacles. The biggest new reveal is the release date: it’s been moved from March 20th to April 30th, 2026.
Saros initially seems similar to Returnal, but it actually moves away from the typical roguelite formula in several ways. Unlike other games in the genre, you won’t lose your resources or progress when you die, though each playthrough will still offer a fresh, changed world. The game features the talents of Kohli, who has worked on projects like Midnight Mass and The Electric State.
