New game from The Last of Us devs is still far away. Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet won’t release until 2026, says Jason Schreier

From a conference discussing the CD Projekt group’s financial outcomes in 2024, it was disclosed that The Witcher 4 won’t be launched before 2027. It’s possible that we might need to delay our excitement for Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet as well, since it may also require a wait until 2027.

Jason Schreier announced in December that during The Game Awards 2024, there will be two major announcements. It was subsequently revealed that these announcements were for The Witcher 4 and Intergalactic. One user on the Resetera forum mentioned that, according to his statement, they are expected to release “in 2026 and beyond.

After the CD Projekt group made an announcement yesterday, it sparked discussions that Naughty Dog’s upcoming game might be launched next year. However, Jason Schreier, himself, entered the discussion and clarified that this was not going to occur.

I’m nearly certain I mentioned that they would be previewed quite a while ahead. However, neither of the games will be released next year.

With these words, he dashed the dreams of some players eagerly anticipating Intergalactic. It appears that the game, much like The Witcher 4, will not be released before 2027 at the earliest. Keep in mind, however, that this isn’t an official announcement from Naughty Dog, so we should treat it as unconfirmed information.

The game titled “Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet” is making its way solely to PlayStation 5. This game focuses intensely on ideas of loneliness and confusion, and it’s anticipated to offer a comparable level of freedom as Elden Ring does.
