The game promises an immersive experience filled with intricate weapon crafting, a struggle against a repressive government regime, and tactical time manipulation. But what truly caught my attention is the peculiar character of Duke Pophrey – a swearing doll!

Now, this little guy has quite the reputation for being rather unrefined, to put it mildly, which is why InXile affectionately refers to him as “the angry doll.” Despite his less-than-stellar demeanor, you can occasionally wind Duke up (metaphorically speaking) to enjoy a torrent of colorful language – because sometimes, that’s just what we need. It’s a delightful twist that adds a touch of humor to an otherwise intense gameplay experience. I, for one, am eagerly anticipating this unique addition to the Clockwork Revolution world!

The game titled Clockwork Revolution has yet to announce a specific launch date. InXile Entertainment, its creator, assures us it will be released eventually, while the doll advised those asking about the release to be patient.

In the cityscape of a steampunk-inspired Victorian era, where an aristocracy with antiquated tastes maintain their power by manipulating time, the populace remains subdued. However, when rebellions, armed with modernized weapons crafted by defiant robots, arise, they are swiftly suppressed by the elite’s unique ability to rewind time. But in your hands lies a contraption capable of altering time itself, igniting a fresh conflict. You can modify time within battles to reload your weapon, adjust a bullet’s path, or correct errors entirely. This is alongside an array of combat gadgets at your disposal and character-enhancing skills that foster growth.

InXile Entertainment hinted at significant overhauls including modifying the narrative’s trajectory and shaping history itself. Brian Fargo, studio head, mentioned in an interview with Xbox Wire that Clockwork Revolution offers the depth and responsiveness typically associated with it. Game director Chad Moore added that player decisions could dramatically change “entire regions of the world.” Moreover, this game boasts a vast landscape to discover. Although the initial trailer showcased a sprawling metropolis, there’s an expansive web of towns, cities, and impoverished areas for you to delve into.

Duke Pomphrey serves more than just as a source of brief, vulgar humor; according to InXile, his character could significantly impact the narrative based on the decisions you make during your exploration of the city and its vicinity.
