‘Neuromancer’ Series at Apple Casts Dane DeHaan

I’ve just joined the talented cast for the upcoming “Neuromancer” series on Apple TV+, which is currently being developed.

In the film version of William Gibson’s novel, we have some new actors joining the crew: Callum Turner, Briana Middleton, Mark Strong, Joseph Lee, Cleménce Poésy, and Peter Sarsgaard.

The storyline of “Neuromancer” revolves around Case (Turner), a highly skilled but troubled computer hacker, who finds himself involved in intricate digital espionage and dangerous criminal activities alongside his partner Molly (Middleton), an assassin with striking silver eyes, as they plot to execute a daring heist against a powerful corporation known for its hidden secrets.

DeHaan will play Peter Riviera.

More recently on television, DeHaan has featured in shows such as “American Primeval” on Netflix, “The Staircase” on Max, and “ZeroZeroZero” on Amazon. His earlier career saw him star in series like “Lisey’s Story” for Apple, and appear in shows including “In Treatment” and “True Blood”. In the realm of film, DeHaan is recognized for his roles in movies like “Oppenheimer”, “The Amazing Spider-Man 2”, “Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets”, and “Chronicle”.

He is repped by Gersh, MGMT Entertainment, and Sloane Offer.

The series “Neurmancer” originates from the minds of co-creators Graham Roland and JD Dillard. Graham Roland is slated to be the showrunner, while JD Dillard will take on directing duties for the pilot episode. Joining them as executive producers are William Gibson, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Matt Thunell from Skydance Television, Anonymous Content, Drake, Adel “Future” Nur and Jason Shrier from DreamCrew Entertainment, and Zack Hayden. The collaborative production is being handled by Skydance Television together with Anonymous Content and Apple Studios.
