As a huge fan of innovative storytelling and groundbreaking visual effects in Indian entertainment, I am absolutely thrilled about Netflix India’s new collaboration with the brilliant duo Raj & DK for their upcoming action-fantasy series, “Rakt Bramhand – The Bloody Kingdom.”
As a devoted cinephile, I’m thrilled to share that Netflix India has announced an exciting new partnership with the creative duo of Raj and Dk. Together, they will bring to life their first action-fantasy series titled “Rakt Bramhand – The Bloody Kingdom.” Can’t wait to see what magical and thrilling stories they have in store for us!
This project follows their recent successful collaboration with the series “Guns & Gulaabs.”
As a cinephile, I’m thrilled to share that my duo will be teaming up with the talented director Rahi Anil Barve and writer Sita R. Menon under our production company, D2R Films. Together, we’re bringing a new series to life, filled with pulse-pounding action sequences and stunning visual effects. This captivating story unfolds within the enchanting confines of a fictional kingdom.
I’ve had the pleasure of witnessing Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, who go by the professional name Raj & DK, make waves in the Indian film industry. Their unique storytelling and innovative approach have earned them accolades for films like “99,” “Shor in the City,” and “Go Goa Gone.” Not content to rest on their laurels, they’ve also found great success in the streaming world with Netflix Originals such as “The Family Man” and “Farzi.” In 2022, I’m thrilled to see them solidify a long-term creative partnership with Netflix.
In 2018, Barve introduced himself to the world of feature films with the highly-appraised “Tumbbad.” This period folk horror movie was admired for its captivating visuals and innovative storyline. The film had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival, launching the Critics’ Week segment. Additionally, it was shown at Fantastic Fest, Busan, and the BFI London Film Festival as part of an impressive international festival tour.
Menon, who has a long-standing partnership with Raj and DK, has teamed up with them on numerous ventures as a writer. Some of her accomplishments include collaborating on “The Family Man” series and working on other projects under the D2R Films label.
