As a seasoned gamer with a soft spot for sitcoms and Netflix originals, the teaser trailer for “No Good Deed” has me intrigued! The prospect of Liz Feldman, the mastermind behind “Dead to Me,” delivering another dose of deliciously dark comedy is already enough to get me hooked.
The No Good Deed teaser trailer has arrived, and the new Netflix series starring Lisa Kudrow and Ray Romano may just share a link to a long-running sitcom.
Leading the charge is Liz Feldman, the mastermind behind Dead to Me, and you can anticipate a similar dose of cleverly dark humor infused throughout the production.
The story itself centers on three families competing to buy the same Los Angeles house, only to discover their dream home may actually be a nightmare.
In addition to Kudrow and Romano, the movie “No Good Deed” features an impressive ensemble cast that includes Abbi Jacobson, Poppy Liu, Linda Cardellini, O-T Fagbenle, Luke Wilson, Teyonah Parris, and Denis Leary.
Its announcement has generated plenty of hype, but it’s also led to a discovery – the house in question looks like an exact replica of Cam and Mitch’s home Modern Family.
Taking to Reddit, one viewer wrote, “Looks just like Mitch & Cam’s House from Modern Family.”
As a gamer, let me tell you, I recently shared something and someone replied, “Wow, you’re not off your rocker!” Another chimed in, “That’s just too eerily accurate.” In simpler terms, they were agreeing with me and confirming that what I posted was uncannily close to reality.
A fourth said, “That’s Cam and Mitchell’s house from Modern Family isn’t it?”
Under Netflix’s video, there are numerous comments that are quite alike, such as one stating, “Does it seem like I’m hallucinating, or is that the residence from Modern Family?
I’d say, “That’s right, mate. It looks like an actual house from the outside, but the interior scenes are likely shot on a film set here in good ol’ Los Angeles.
It’s undeniable that they look very similar, but there’s no news yet from the streaming service about where No Good Deed was filmed.
It was noted by some that there were several distinctions. One person remarked, “Absolutely not identical.” They pointed out that Cameron and Mitchell’s residence featured a small balcony to the right of the far-right window.
“Also, the sidewalk is curved here, and the one at C&M’s house is straight.”
Another stated, “Mitchell and Cameron’s house looks similar, but it is not the same house.
This house has stairs leading from the pavement to the pathway. On Modern Family, the house is accessed directly from the pavement without any steps or turns.
It’s possible that the property underwent renovations, or maybe they share a similar aesthetic.
Regardless of the situation, it’s clear that people are quite enthusiastic about “No Good Deed.” As one individual put it, “With Ray Romano and Lisa Kudrow on board? Absolutely, I’m interested!
Another person expressed, “Wow, what an amazing lineup! As a big fan of Dead to Me, I’m really hoping this will be just as fantastic!
On December 12th, “No Good Deed” will stream on Netflix. In the meantime, keep an eye out for the latest TV shows debuting on streaming services this month. Additionally, don’t forget to explore top-notch binge-worthy series and their viewing locations.
