Netflix Debuts Trailers For Splinter Cell, Tomb Raider, DMC, And More

As a seasoned gamer with decades worth of virtual adventures under my belt, I must say that Netflix’s foray into video game adaptations has me thoroughly excited! Growing up, titles like Splinter Cell, Devil May Cry, and Tomb Raider were staples in my gaming library. Seeing these beloved franchises getting the live-action treatment is a dream come true.


Among the highly anticipated Netflix premieres this fall are Arcane Season 2, inspired by League of Legends, and Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft. However, as shown during Geeked Week, Netflix is placing significant emphasis on video game adaptations beyond these shows, with plans to introduce new animated series based on Splinter Cell, Devil May Cry, and Cyberpunk.

Deathwatch. A teaser for the show has been released, although its launch date remains unconfirmed.

Adi Shankar, producer of Castlevania, is set to introduce Devil May Cry on Netflix in April 2025. This series follows the action games by Capcom, featuring the chic demon hunter Dante. The initial trailer for the show reveals no challenge seems to faze Dante as he battles his demon adversaries, suggesting that physics and gravity may not be factors in this thrilling series.

Prior to its release on October 10th, a brand new trailer for the earlier mentioned Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft has been unveiled. In this upcoming adaptation, Hayley Atwell lends her voice to Lara, as the storyline departs from the reboot trilogy and delves deeper into the video game origins of Lady Croft.

Moreover, Netflix has unveiled a fresh Cyberpunk animated series, accompanied by a teaser video that you can watch below. Specifics about the upcoming show have yet to be disclosed, but it will represent the second animated Cyberpunk series on Netflix following “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.

Earlier this week, Netflix has unveiled a fresh trailer for Castlevania: Nocturne. Set to premiere in January 2025, the second installment of this video game series’ adaptation is now on its way!
