In the spirit of NFS Hot Pursuit, Need For Speed Unbound Volume 8 reintroduces the exhilarating 4 vs 4 Hot Pursuit Mode. Essentially, this mode pits racer against cop in a high-speed race, featuring innovative Pursuit Tech and advancements for the law enforcement side. To set the stage, Volume 8 also introduces some fantastic new vehicles, such as the Porsche 959 S from ’87 and the Lotus Evija from ’23.
What is Hot Pursuit Mode in NFS Unbound Volume 8?
In Hot Pursuit, you engage in an exciting game where you alternate between playing as a police officer and a speeding racer in each round. As a racer, your goal is to complete the track successfully. On the other side, as a cop, your mission is to employ all available resources – whether it’s assistance from AI units or your Pursuit Tech – to thwart the racers. There are various tactics you can use to make life difficult for the racers on the city streets.
In the thrilling Hot Pursuit gameplay, Pursuit Tech has been brought back, offering features like deployable road spikes, Electromagnetic Pulses (EMPs), and an ESF ram. No matter which gadget you opt for, there are numerous opportunities to generate exhilarating experiences in Hot Pursuit.
Beyond this, police vehicles in the game follow a distinct leveling system. Initially, you’ll have a regular vehicle, but as you progress, you can unlock extra ones, together with advanced Pursuit Gadgets. Notably, players can also unlock up to nine customizable cop cars to cruise around in.
