NBC Sports, Shaun White Team Up for Winter Sports Deal

As a long-time fan and admirer of Shaun White‘s unparalleled talent and indomitable spirit, I am absolutely thrilled about his latest venture, The Snow League. Having watched him conquer the slopes time and again, I can attest to the sheer excitement and adrenaline that his performances evoke. This collaboration between NBC Sports and Shaun White is not just a partnership; it’s a powder-filled dream come true!

NBC Sports and Shaun White are ready to make a powder grab.

In a multi-year partnership, the sports division backed by Comcast and the Olympic snowboarder Shaun White have agreed to terms that will broadcast White’s upcoming Snow League show on both NBC and Peacock. Both platforms will air the league’s debut event taking place in Aspen, Colorado on March 7th and 8th. Four live events from the league’s initial season will be shown exclusively on Peacock, with repeats scheduled for broadcast on NBC at later dates.

The Winter Sports Association, established by White, primarily focuses on the thrilling sports of snowboarding and freeskiing.

White stated, ‘This partnership will highlight the remarkable skill in snowboarding and free skiing, elevating the excitement of the competition even further.’ We aspire to motivate the upcoming generation of athletes, and there’s no better medium to display our athletes and their tales than NBC Sports.

The Snow League intends to create engaging storylines throughout the entire season using fresh competition structures. Competitors will earn points across various events organized by the league, and the champion will be announced as the Snow League World Champion at the end of the year. The prize money for the inaugural season of The Snow League will surpass $1.5 million.

Shaun White is an established legend, and his vision for The Snow League has generated immense enthusiasm for this upcoming phase of our long-standing collaboration,” expressed Joe Gesue, Senior Vice President at NBC Olympics & Paralympics programming and editor. “This groundbreaking project will highlight the best snowboarders and free skiers at renowned locations worldwide, providing top-tier athletes with well-earned recognition and fueling anticipation for what seems to be a captivating 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan Cortina.

As a passionate cinephile, I had the pleasure of working alongside David Sternberg and Dan Granik from Range Sports. They served as our media consultants during the intense media rights negotiations for The Snow League.
