In a recent update for March, NBA 2K unveiled new player ratings, acknowledging stellar performances from James Harden of the Los Angeles Clippers, Paolo Banchero of the Orlando Magic, and Austin Reaves of the Los Angeles Lakers. All three players have been granted an improvement in their overall rating in NBA 2K25 as a result of exceptional play during the second half of the season.

James Harden receives a 90 overall player rating in NBA 2K25

In my enthusiastic perspective as a fan, it’s been thrilling to witness James Harden’s remarkable resurgence in his 16th NBA season! As a second-year member of the Clippers, he’s taken his game to new heights, consistently delivering impressive statistics. At 35 years old, he’s averaging an astounding 22.5 points, 8.7 assists, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per match, propelling the team to a commendable 39-30 record and a seventh spot in the Western Conference. This exceptional performance also granted him an impressive 11th All-Star appearance in San Francisco.

In contrast to his first season with the Clippers, where he scored an average of 16.6 points, dished out 8.5 assists, grabbed 5.1 rebounds, and made 1.1 steals per game, James Harden has notably boosted his scoring in more recent games. Notably, he scored a remarkable 50 points with six three-pointers in the Clippers’ victory over the Detroit Pistons on March 5. Since then, he’s been averaging 29.1 points, 9.3 assists, 6.3 rebounds, and 1.3 steals while maintaining a field goal percentage of 44.8% and a 3-point shooting percentage of 38.3%.

Paolo Banchero rises to a 90 overall

This season, I’ve been racking up some impressive stats as a 22-year-old forward. On average, I score 25.3 points, grab 7.2 rebounds, and dish out 4.8 assists per game. Additionally, I’m shooting 44.5% from the field and 32.7% from beyond the arc across 36 games. Unfortunately, I had to take a break early in the season due to a torn oblique, but since then, I’ve been crucial to our team’s efforts to keep us in the playoff hunt.

In spite of Orlando facing numerous injuries and crucial player absences that have resulted in a 32-38 record and their position as the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference, Banchero’s personal influence on the team has been unquestionable. His nearly triple-double display of 24 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists was instrumental in breaking the Cleveland Cavaliers’ unprecedented 16-game victory streak last Sunday.

Through impressive showings, NBA 2K25 has boosted his player score by 1, raising it to a total of 90.

Austin Reaves jumps to an 87 overall

Austin Reaves has played a crucial role for the Lakers in his fourth NBA season, setting personal records in statistics. At age 26, this versatile guard is averaging 19.6 points, six assists, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game, all while hitting 44.7% of his field goals and 36.4% from beyond the arc over 61 matches.

I’ve been capturing everyone’s focus lately, especially with LeBron James out due to a groin injury. Over my last five matches, I’ve managed an average of 29 points, 7.2 assists, 6.4 rebounds, and 2 steals, while shooting an impressive 52.5% from the field and 40.4% from three-point range. In James’ absence over nine games, I’ve bumped up those numbers even more, averaging 27.9 points, 8.3 assists, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game, all while maintaining a field goal percentage of 49.1% and a three-point shooting percentage of 42.5%.

The contributions of Reaves have kept the Lakers among the leading teams in the Western Conference, currently holding a third place position with a record of 43 wins and 25 losses. Since January 17, they’ve managed an impressive 22 victories against only 8 defeats, which is the fourth best performance in the league during that period. This includes an eight-game winning streak, their longest since their triumphant 2019-20 season.

Recognizing the high caliber of his gameplay, NBA 2K25 has boosted Reaves’ total score by 2 points, raising it to 87.
